She brought the recipe with her from San Antonio, Texas where she learned how to layer tortilla wedges with shredded cheddar cheese and slices of jalapeño pepper. After she retired from El Cholo in the 1990s, Rocha worked as a voulenteer at the Pasadena City Hall. The cause of death is believed to be cancer. She was 77. [LA Times]
