    You know, I didn't think it was possible to hate that magazine more. At this point they aren't so much a fashion magazine, but a group of fame whores. First Stylista and the Project Runway mess. Now they've stooped to the level of copying Vogue when it's pretty obvious Sean Avery did little to push copies of the mag? Wow, guys, really, just wow.


    Word to the wise, stick to the British version. It's above and beyond a better magazine.

    You know, I had actually never heard of Kim Gordon, but I was interested in that she admitted she doesn't necessarily roll up her own sleeves and bust out the Prismacolors and make her own sketches. Just in the fact that she admitted that kind of makes her seem more interesting.


    I often wonder about this sort of thing about the slebs/famous/music people who get a clothing line. Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson, for example, have their own lines of ugly mid-priced shoes, but I HONESTLY doubt they ever sit down with a fucking T-square and some non-repro blue pencils and hammer out some concept sketches over a beat-up drafting table. They just tell people "LOL MAEK ME SUMPIN PRITTEH" and their name is slapped on it and voila, profit. Right? Or am I bitter?

    @tscheese: She's atleast 50 and has been making records since the early 80s, so really not a Hills-type. I also seem to remember she designed some t-shirts in the 90s, so perhaps we can blame her for starting the whole celeb-clothing line trend. Or maybe that was Sophia Loren with her name-brand spectacles?

    @tscheese: Kim Gordon is an artist. Apart from her work with SONIC YOUTH, she's also an accomplished visual artist. Just because someone doesn't sit down and make a flat sketch of a garment it doesnt mean that she is not insanely talented and knows what she is doing.

    @BrutallyHonestZombies: If I spend ANY amount of time in a Marshalls or AC Moore or Pearl or whatever, I WILL walk out with $50 of art supplies I DO NOT NEED. I will linger lovingly over watercolor brushes that I'll ruin or forget, I will glare enviously at all things Prismacolor, I will try to find some way to eat the damn bristol board. I cannot go to craft/art supply stores. No more. I am a craft store teetotaler now.
