My freshman year roomie was very Irish so we listened to Irish radio online back when that was kinda novel ('99).
They used black girls in their videos even then!!! They were and are totally cheesy, but I love having my fandom proven right. And Ronan is a superbabe.
Must see - Their cover of Tracy Chapman's "Baby Can I Hold You".
I know I may be in the minority here, but I think if the Pitt story is true, that's pretty tight. Here's the deal- it's not just his girlfriend/pseudo-wife he's protecting. They've got kids.
Aniston needs to stop taking the bitter pills and move on with some dignity. Discussing her divorce years after the fact does nothing to dispel her image as a lonely, miserable, obsessive woman.
@ohgoodness: protecting kids from magazines they'll never read ?? and Jen's comment will, by the time they grow up, be but a blip on the radar. This versus their many, many, many wild escapades (not that anything is wrong with that) and longer "blip" regarding Angies infidelities - see Jenny Shimizu (Angie cheated on her with Jonny Lee Miller) and Billy Bob (who was in an active relationship with Laura Dern) and Brad (who while there may have not been fucking, certainly was emotional cheating)
She is a serial opportunist who is manipulative and, though not a good actress on screen......apparently a very good actress OFF screen.
Good Lord, the Madonna thing made me gag. And I might be horrible for saying it, but I kinda don't want Sasha and Malia Obama hanging out with Miley Cyrus. Haha, as if I get any say...
@girlnamedblue: I have tremendous confidence that the President-elect and First Lady-to-be won't let the girls anywhere near Miley Cyrus. Yet another reason I am excited about the Obama administration...
@Crazy Broad: :) It may be cheesy, but I'm fully into the "Change" thing. I'd like to believe we as a country can work together to get out of the hole we've been in for the past eight years, and that President-elect Obama will lead us through it.
on brad-jen-angelina: i'm tried of everyone hating on this whole situation. i can see angelina's side, it is cool to be able to show your kids where your parents fell in love. i can see jen's side, her husband fell in love with someone else while they were married. that sucks, but love and life are messy. there were rumors about problems in brad and jen's marriage long before he got with angelina. we don't know if brad or angie had sex while he was still married or not. i think we need to let brad and angie be happy and stop making jennifer out to be a victim with our pity. let jennifer move on with her life and stop constantly reminder her of what she "lost"
@wildwhuck: I totally, totally agree. The level of vitriol directed at Brad and Angelina about this is kind of over the top, to me--not because I think cheating is okay, but because we don't KNOW what happened. Marriages fall apart; we as a public need to get over it.
I was actually at that Smashing Pumpkins show. In Corgan's defense - which is not easy to do, by the way - I think he probably thought the fan was bitching about D'Arcy, and the audience member he pulled up did look just like her. Still passive aggressive, but it wasn't about James Iha.
It was a weird fucking show. I scored tickets last minute from a friend of mine, and I'm not a Smashing Pumpkins loyalist, so I enjoyed myself because it was just, well, fucking weird. I also got the impression that Corgan is largely doing this for entertainment's sake at this point.
"Damnit, Jen! How dare you publicly express dissatisfaction to my girlfriend publicly admitting that like a monkey, I didn't let go of one branch until I had another firmly in my grasp! That while I may not have slept with her, I sure as hell emotionally checked out on you. It's not like we were married or any---oh,wait..."
@Macloserboy: It is not appropriate to malign monkeys in such a fashion. They often leap from branch to branch, leaving one behind well before they've got a hold of the next.
@TrixPot: He really is. I'm pretty sure that "Wouldn't it be fun if you pose like a married couple!" W magazine photoshoot alone granted Jen eternal bitching rights.
@HannahBethD: I can't believe I'm admitting that I know this, but I have heard she actually asked to go off the record for that question. And she was referencing Angelina publicly admitting that the love affair began before Jen and Brad were divorced. She was calling that interview "uncool" i.e.that it was inappropriate to reveal those details publicly. And, frankly, I agree. I do think it is inappropriate that Angelina did that.
And I was still peeved by the Angie/Billy Bob/Laura Dern thing, then she goes and does the same thing to Aniston (I'm not even a fan) but, really lady, cool it.
@DuchessofHazards: seriously....Angie has had a brief history of being with a man who was involved in a relationship, married and long-term and she had the AUDACITY to lie in that Anne "I'm Annoying" Currie interview by saying (paraphrasing) "she'd never be with a man who'd cheat on his wife because her father did it to her mother"
Well, perhaps some women DO respond to their father's infidelity but Angies actions don't support her "acting words" (she is an actress afterall and the job of an actor/actress is to, basically LIE and PRETEND)
Also, my own experience given my father cheated incessantly and my mother committed suicide because of it was for me to have a loooooong history of being with men who were married and/or "taken" So, everyone is different.

Like she could have just said, 'I choose not to comment on my ex-husband's personal life' and be done with it.
Of course, she probably wouldn't have been on the cover then.

And flaunting it too? Sheesh.
Why shouldn't Aniston respond?
Douches all around.
