Thursday was a banner day for women getting their shot at new television comedy opportunities, with announcements pouring in about shows from Anne Heche, Molly Shannon and Kristen Schaal. Ah what promise, what hope lies through yonder television premiere season!

Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are trying to sell a sitcom based on their life together. Various sources say: "They would play versions of themselves, kind of like on Curb Your Enthusiasm. [...] "They've met with a few networks.. Nothing is finalized yet, but they're seeing where the show could go."

In this week's compilation of pop culture crap, Nancy Grace has a hot dancing partner, Snooki crashes into an Italian cop car, what Jon Hamm looks like with a mustache, and Sarah Michelle Gellar's much-anticipated return to television gets mocked by pretty much everyone.

• During an interview yesterday, Kanye West was asked about the recently-uncovered photos of his junk. He referenced the lyric, "She find pictures in my email/ I sent this girl a picture of my, hey!" and explained, "I only rap reality!"
