Bonnie's confusing, yet definitely mean answer: "No, I won't take a ticket and get on the ride that everyone else has been on."

Update: A rep for Bonnie Hunt has responded via email to make sure that's clear that Ms. Hunt's comment was directed at Alex Rodriguez, not Kate Hudson. To quote:

"I can see how you might make a mistake but I assure you I was making light of A-Rod and NOT Kate Hudson. I was already making my "a ride" remark about A-Rod before Miss Piggy started to ask about Kate, so please know I would not make that type of remark about Kate Hudson or "trash" her in any way. Thanks, Bonnie Hunt."

<![CDATA[Fine Swine]]> Smithsonian recently interviewed Bonnie Erickson, the woman who designed and built Miss Piggy in 1974. Erickson says the character was actually inspired by the singer Peggy Lee. "When I first created Miss Piggy I called her Miss Piggy Lee—as both a joke and an homage. Peggy Lee was a very independent woman, and Piggy certainly is the same. But as Piggy's fame began to grow, nobody wanted to upset Peggy Lee, especially because we admired her work. So, the Muppet's name was shortened to Miss Piggy." But Erickson's favorite characters? "Statler and Waldorf, the two old men who heckled from the balcony in the Muppet Show.
