Far from taking offense, the decorated Iraq vet seems to be embracing the moniker, competing for the title of "Miss England," which she is favored to win. Says Hodge: "I want to use this competition to highlight the work that the army are doing and what they have done for this country." This is, obviously, the best way to win respect for female soldiers. We can't help wondering what she'll do for the 'talent' competition; she was decorated for disarming an insurgent. Tyra was a little more interested in talking about what kind of food Chloe eats. Then Tyra asked her how people say "throw up" in England…where they speak English. Clip above.

<![CDATA[Daily (Hate) Mail]]> The editors over at the Daily Mail are continuing their campaign of cruelty towards Chloe Marshall, the size 16 teen who is a Miss England finalist. Now, they've hired a nutritionist named Monica Grenfell to pen an article called "A Role Model For Ordinary Women? No, Miss England Finalist Is Fat, Lazy And A Poster Girl For Ill Health." Says Grenfell: "What she's demonstrating isn't bravery but a shocking lack of self-control...Chloe is a stark reminder that obesity is now virtually normal in our society - and we should all be hanging our heads in shame...It's a total fallacy that young girls are being pressured into near-starving themselves into being too thin." If what Grenfell really wants, as she claims, is to make people have a healthier lifestyle, shaming them is not the way to do it. [Daily Mail]

<![CDATA[Daily (Hate) Mail]]> Remember Chloe Marshall? The Miss Surrey who is the first size 16 to ever compete in the Miss England Pageant? Well the Daily Mail does its best to try to make Chloe feel bad about her size. Here are some of the choice cuts from Jenny Johnston's gleefully undermining interview with her: "Chloe Marshall and her wobbly bits - of which there are a few...I try hard, shame on me, to get her to admit to some deep-seated loathing about her body - but she simply won't do it...[Later] It transpires that she knows exactly what it feels like to stand in Topshop with your skinny-minny mates, and want to cry." Despite this, Chloe keeps her head held high. "Most people have been lovely, saying, 'You go, girl', but some people have been sniping about how it isn't a good thing that I'm in this competition," she tells Johnston. "That makes me very cross. The whole thing about me being here is that I want to show other teenagers, younger than me, that it's OK to be a bit curvy, because you can still be beautiful." [Daily Mail]

<![CDATA[ Pity Miss England. Georgia Horsley, who...]]> Pity Miss England. Georgia Horsley, who has a body that many women would kill for, has been told she's got to gain weight and gain weight fast if she wants a chance at winning the title of Miss World. Says Horsley: "Miss World judges like naturally curvy girls and don't like the stick-thin women you see on the catwalks. They promote healthy eating and I want to help them get that message across, so I'm giving it my all." [Daily Mail]
