Am I the only person that's sad about there being another Bridget Jones movie? I loved the first two movies, but I thought that enough shit had happened to Bridget that I would rather imagine that her life with Mark Darcy was too nice and boring and full of love to be interesting enough for a movie.

(I know she's fictional, but still. I wanted her fictional life to be happy.)

Uh, Ellen Pompeo's baby is "one of her own"? I'm not overly P.C. or nuthin', but there are a million other ways to say what you meant. I expect more from Jezebel writers. Katherine and Josh's baby is definitely now "their own." And she's freakin' adorable.

Isn't Bridget supposed to be pregnant in the 3rd installment? In that case, wearing a 'fat' suit makes a lot of sense.

Still, yo-yoing like Renee Zellweger and Christian Bale do for movie parts is very hard on your metabolism. Sure, it is easy to gain 5 pounds, 10 even, but 30? That must involve a lot of unhealthy food.

Okay, I feel bad for the ill will, but: I used to really like Lily Allen, and believed she was just cheeky and young. But the more she talks - the more everything seems like a little snit fit, like a little girl stomping her foot and insulting those around her. She doesn't really have much positive to say, it seems, about anything? Unlike, say, Beth Ditto; the more I hear her speak the more I respect her and her opinions.

Oh, man, the Jen Aniston stuff, it does get so very old. It's become it's own reality; who KNOWS what her real life is like.

@noisy doll: Agreed-- that was definitely an "I'm sorry I got caught" statement and not an "I'm truly sorry and I've seen the error of my ways" statement.

And why would she expect something she said to a STRANGER at a party at a FILM FESTIVAL to be private? It's not like she was chatting with her girlfriends around her own kitchen table.

Okay, even if Jen was crying, why does it always have to be linked to her undying love for Brad Pitt? How crappy would it be if you couldn't shed a tear without everyone blaming it on your breakup from years past? Like, "Hamster is crying, I bet it isn't because she stubbed her toe or lost her job. Actually, I can't stand him. Sexiest man alive? I just don't really see it. And regardless of all his kids now, you just don't forgive a dude for leaving his wife for a younger woman, you know?

The thing about Jennifer Aniston is that she seems nice. So people imagine her vulnerabilities make her frail. If she was someone like Joan Jett or another American badass, they'd never presume that if she got upset, it must be because of X breakup several years ago. Of course, if Jen got angry, everyone would still blame it on Brad, so she really can't win.

@rixatrix: Yeah, he really couldn't do less for me at all. He just seems so.... sexless. And he doesn't seem to have much in the way of personality either. Clearly he's not bad looking, everything's in the right place, but he's just so bland and holds all the sex appeal of the average dishcloth.

@rixatrix: I find him quite sexy, but that being said, it's extremely implausible that anyone would burst into tears over a breakup that's at least four years in the past. Right? I've never been married or anything, but STILL. She's an adult. It was ages ago. I'm pretty sure she's over it.

I'm bothered by the proposal that Katherine Heigl was trying to one up one Ellen Pompeo. Can't an overjoyed couple who have welcomed a wonderful gift into their lives celebrate and sing it from the mountain tops? There's kind of an amusing piece on BoingBoing today about how Lily Allen doesn't understand the copyright laws she's hollering about protecting. Apparently she posted a rant about copyright violation and music sharing on her blog and in doing so, violated copyright laws by lifting the works of others to strengthen her argument.
