Michael Jackson Pronounced Dead At 50

If you don't understand this artist's significance, I'm sorry that you missed out. Tantamount to losing Elvis, if it helps put it in perspective.

Thank you. I can't exactly articulate why I'm so affected by Michael Jackson, but I am. It doesn't matter if you are not affected, other people are, let them be.

I dont get why people insist on dictating on how others should be grieving.

Wait, what? Getty needs to start proofing those captions.

C'mon, folks.

In any case, it's interesting for me to see the reactions from his fans because I've never felt that way about someone who I wasn't related to or knew personally. But it just goes to show that some people do have the power to transcend those lines.

I guess I don't grieve the same way others do. Although, I grew up loving classic silent films, so when I read about Fatty Arbuckle's death I went through a deep depression so maybe I can relate.

Michael Jackson's music spans atleast 40 years
there is nothing wrong with this young lady crying
i know young people who weren't around when the Beatles were big and they cry over John Lennon and he's been dead for years
it doesn't matter if you don't feel the same way
just try to respect other peoples feelings

Seriously, you don't understand how she, who was not born in his heyday, could possibly grieve him like this but you became deeply depressed at Fatty Arbuckle's death? How ridiculously hypocritical.

Though we're far apart
He'll always be in my heart
So you are not alone

Either way, it's a wonderfully sweet image.

My mom was washing her hands in the sink and she was going on and on about how she was going to hug Elvis when she saw him and what she was going to say to him when we got there and my mom said, "You can't talk to him, he's dead!" (She thought my little sister already knew or she would have broken the news more gently).
We had to stay in the bathroom another 15 minutes while my sister cried her eyes out.
Another woman came in and we told her what was wrong and she said, "Oh don't feel bad honey, I still still cry over it sometimes."
It was really sweet and this has made me think of all the kids who grew up on Michael Jackson's music. How sad for all of them to know they will never get a chance to see anymore from him.
