    @Mafalda para Presidente: I find it heartening that Hermione is rightly seen and compensated as the series' second lead; I adore Ron, but Hermione is the more consistent and reliable partner to Harry during his adventures. The $$ may be based on screentime because I think she is on camera more due to the way the character is written (see 3rd movie; 4th movie; 7th movie...)

    @Mafalda para Presidente: I think that figure may also incorporate their income from endorsement deals and other films. EW has that Burberry contract, and was in an animated movie with Matthew Broderick.

    Just watched Shopaholic and it was darling if not what it could have been (I love the books). I'm glad to know Dancy found it "fun" but his explanation actually makes me a bit more impressed with the film since it seemed to hang together pretty well for something that was being assembled by committee with new pages every day -- yikes!

    His summation of what he feared "Adam" would be is dead-on for most such films and almost sounds like cleaned-up dialogue from "Tropic Thunder."

    @JennaW: I didn't like Shopaholic, and I didn't read the books. The whole idea just felt off to me. They really lost me when one character was reading off the credit card debt and said (I'm paraphrasing the number but not the wording): "sixteen thousand, one thousand fifty-two." I rewound it just to make sure. It was terrible, and the Dancy quote totally rang true for me.

    @TrixieCanary: I loved the actors and was being very forgiving. It was not great, but I enjoyed it -- probably because I had no expectations at all since it had flopped.

    I saw a trailer for Adam this weekend, and I gotta say, despite Hugh Dancy's best intentions, it seems exactly like a Very Special Movie about a Very Special Boy who will all teach us that us and people with Aspergers? We ain't so different after all. Not to mention it looks like blatant Oscar-grubbing. As Kirk Lazarus/Osiris Lincoln would point out, Hugh Dancy is obviously not going "full retard." He may look and act like someone with a mental disability, but it seemed like the whole time he was winking at the camera the whole time, going "It's still me, ladies! I'm just ACTING!"

    Blind item = James Franco. Seemed like the clue pointed to the movie Milk, and so far as I can guess he's the only major actor from that film in college. Plus that one pic that was taken of him asleep in class.

    Daniel Radcliffe just leaped even higher up my Dudes-with-serious-integrity list.



    I've got young kids and I know how a chance to stand in a reporter pool with a bunch of adults and interview the star of your all time favorite movies would be like the most amazing thing that's ever happened in your whole life.



    And for Daniel to give her his focus and not allow the grownups to steamroll right over her,... immensely cool.

    I saw Brüno yesterday and left the theater feeling pretty disappointed. I loved that character because he always made the fashion world look so silly (please note: I love the fashion world.) I understand it was virtually impossible for him to focus on fashion the same way he did on the show. How could he gain access backstage when everyone knew who he was? Who would agree to an interview when everyone saw Borat? (Besides possible Paula Abdul, obvs.) Anyway, the movie felt lazy as a result. Most of the "punchline" was gay sex. Though I have always defended the Bruno character for multiple reasons, I have to side with GLAAD on this one.
