@BowlingForDollars: Really? You loathe him for not liking being on the show? I don't see his seething hatred, and loathe seems like kind of a strong word for a pretty affable guy. #tinafey
@BowlingForDollars: Yeah, I kinda figured there was more to it. That's too bad, though. I've been watching him since he was on News 4 New York in the 80's, and I don't want to not like him. #tinafey
I think this is pulled out of context. Earlier in the interview, they were discussing how Brian Williams was auditioning for a guest spot as part of the script on 30 Rock, and Meredith was making jokes about why she should be included, and then Tina was talking about how they would spend time in the Today studio when they shoot for the show, and how she would joke around with Al and the cast, etc. Him coming around to do something so random was just a continuation of the previous jokes - if you saw the whole interview, it was totally innocent and didn't come from nowhere. #tinafey
WHEN is Freddie Prinze Jr. going to get off his ass and turn that frumpy Mr. Obama into the Prom King of the Executive Branch? He just needs to take off his glasses and let down his hair...
Oh. Wait. Never mind. He'll have better luck with Barbara Mikulski.
Someone has to say it- Michelle O as one of the "most fashionable women in the world"? That's a little hyperbolic. The woman's got great style, but go to any major metropolitan area and you can find plenty of well dressed middle aged women. This emphasis on her being oh-so-fashionable kind of pisses me off, because the media seems to be shocked that a woman could have kids, a career, and a banging wardrobe. It's not that novel. Also, Barack shouldn't be wearing skinny jeans or anything ridiculous, but maybe a darker wash? Seriously, even my dad doesn't wear dad-jeans, and he wears black sock and Birkenstocks every day. Please get on that, Michelle.
@HBIC!: I think part of the excitement over Michelle's dress sense is that recent first ladies have been so unfashionable, and if not actually older, they dressed in a way that aged them. I mean Laura Bush, Hillary (though I love her, do you remember those effing headbands?), Barbara Bush. I think it's just such a change from First Lady fashion-as-usual, that she stands out.
Also: she is a brick house, who doesn't drown her figure or her personality in pastel suits. Which, one must admit, is a HUGE change.
@HBIC!: Thank you. I so wish I could promote this comment. Not only is it a ridiculous thing to say considering how often Michelle has said she just wears regular clothes and isn't that into fashion, but she has so many better, more important qualities then being relegated to being fashionable!
@GeorgeFayne: Hillary's autobiography illustrates her friends battle to remove the headbands from her wardrobe. For real. She keeps talking about how she felt that they were convenient and functional and stylish, and her friends were all like "everyone's making fun of them, please stop."
I kind of felt bad for her. But yeah, it's a really good read.

That might be the first time I've defended The Today Show. Huh. #tinafey
