@Cimorene: Con-fucking-curred. I've taken to buying my button-downs two sizes too big and getting the waist/sleeves tailored. And yes, wearing both sweatervests and regular vests.

I'd love to have an extra hour in the morning to make my hair do what Meghan's is doing in the screencap. Say what you will about Meghan, but it's heartening that a Republican woman is acknowledging these pressures exist. I predict she'll be a force to be reckoned with politically in a few years should she choose to run for office. Yes, she's not a seasoned pro and has had her missteps, but give her a while and she'll be taken seriously. She appeals to moderate Republican women in a way that Palin, Bachmann and Blackburn don't. @Working-for-the-weekend: Depends on the position she'd be running for and the location. Are we talking a local, district-wide, state-wide or national race? The perception of her of the demographic of the constituents is what would determine if she could run as a Republican. Alabama, no. New York, yes.

There's a silent moderate Republican contingency out there that you don't really hear about, because the far right ladies are ones are who get the press. If they come out to the voting booths, she might be able to do it. Not sure if her ambition is to run for office ever, though. I wouldn't rule it out at this point. She has a long life ahead of her. #shrivermccaininterview

@jenny_dreadful: Well, as someone who said she may want to reconsider her political ambitions, I am saying this from a pragmatic point of view. I would say something similar about anyone who did something similar in such a public way, whether it be an elephant walk with his frat brothers or a video that shows him sucking on the toes of a call girl.

That said, I'm sure she can go ahead and keep being a political commenter. But as for holding elected office - I'm not sure she'll be able to overcome this. The American electorate is pretty shallow. #meghanmccain

I am not surprised by the chauvinistic outrage, but I am a little surprised by the reaction on this site. I am surprised so many of you think that women should view their bodies through the lens of an easily aroused, hyper-sexual male, which is basically what is being said when one states "she should have known how it would look". What is being left unsaid is that it is from a straight male perspective, not how it looks to a person who has no sexual interest in breasts. I do not think women should have to see sex objects every time they look at their bodies. I think it is quite possible that Meghan saw her breasts in the picture but did not give them a second thought because to her it was nothing special; she sees them everyday. Some women can look at their bodies without seeing sex, and I think all women should be able to do that without being made to feel like a slut. #meghanmccain

Since this article mentions that she got a lot of negative tweets from her followers, which I'm assuming the majority of are Republicans, I was making a little joke by implying they thought she was witch (because they're so stuck in the past.) As a large-breasted woman alike Ms. McCain you are MORE cognizant of your clothes being tight and busty...almost to a fault. She knew what she was doing...and it was the same thing other 16 year-old girls do when they post pics of themselves posing provacatively for attention. At 24, I was already a lawyer and that shit is immature at that age. If she wants to be taken seriously, she should act accordingly.
