I love J. Crew's kid line for one big reason (adorable, Benetton-esq kids aside): their clothing looks like it is for children. When I was about 7 or 8, I remember the Limited Too was really popular. That store drove my mother insane because the clothing always looked slutty and tacky--like they were teaching six year olds that it was cool to want to dress like a desperate 30 year old divorcee. Crewcuts just looks age appropriate and combines wholesomeness, quirkiness and fun in just the right way. I'm glad that they are doing well.
@Tchotchke: I agree. Crewcuts are a bit pricey, but at least they are tacky/annoying. I'm sick of seeing sexual innuendo (IN YOUR END-O!) on kids clothes. Pink leopard print is bad on every age. Classic clothes work.
I feel SO old right now. Think of the children('s fashion)!
@greengrey: I know! Right now, my pet peeve is Victoria's Secret's line, "Pink". I know they claim its for college-aged girls and young women, but really? C'mon. Their clothing has puppies all over it and centers around hot pink. It's marketed toward tweens and I think it is beyond vulgar to see a ten year old wearing sweat pants that say "VS Pink" on the ass and a tank top cut just so that her VS bra shows.
For the last time, clothing makers: children are not sexy. Let it go. They should be carefree and not worrying about how big their breasts look in your new padded bra.
How can Kim have fans? What does she do that deserves fanfare? She lives her life, and she has fans? Do I have fans? Should I speak to them through scent? Kim, you always boggle my mind.
@sportz.star: I don't think he's oogling. I think the idea of 6 year old girls with 6-packs and chiseled arms is weird and wrong, though. Should someone so young be working out so much?
@FattyCatty: i don't think that he is envying their bodies as much as he is honoring the amount of discipline it takes for a child to be so dedicated to their sport and training.
@twisted_martini: I'm just bummed that the world has lost our real-life Princess Jasmine (in looks, at least--don't think Disney would have put up with one of their princesses coming out with a sex tape).
I don't buy that. Everyone knows that one of the laws of superness is that whatever gives you your power cannot also render you ill. It doesn't even make sense! She would have died from radiation poisoning long before she developed breast cancer from such high level radiation. Marvel writers FAIL.
I figured that Marvel would have shied away from this considering how fans reacted to Mary Jane's cancer and death due to Spiderman's radioactive sperm.
Yeah, that did something similar about 5 years ago where her powers were making her sick. She ended up getting a new suit. Hope this story line is better.
