@now it's just Aesop's Heatstroke.: Also, in the first photo, she has an absolutely beautiful smile. I feel like I don't see enough of that in these red carpet spreads.
I was watching this live. I was incensed when the male commentator banged on about how Sharipova was the most VALUABLE person in women's sports, just because of the fabulous fortune she has accrued OFF court and then only because of her aryan blonde looks and not because of her prowess on court.
@curiousgeorgiana: At least Sharapova has been world number one. It always stuck in my craw that Anna Kornikova was showered with sponsorship deals even though she was by no means the best tennis player in the world although some men considered her the prettiest.
@Ailatan Hearts BabyJane: I am fairly suprised she lost. She did really well at the French Open. But maybe she is still not 100% after her shoulder surgery.
I think Eva as a model would be more groundbreaking than Eva as an actress- and let's be honest, she was never a real actress. The fact that she is 30+ and Latina is exciting all by itself since the modeling world is extremely ageist and not favorable to non-white models.

I come from a family of lawyers and actors: the differences between the personalities it takes to be in either profession are slight.

Damn, Ana Ortiz just had a baby! She looks great.

Ana Ortiz looks so relaxed; and I love her skirt!

And not to be unduly superficial, but in such an elegant outfit this year, too.
Still, I hope she didn't think Gisela was going to be any kind of pushover.
