He then gets to the gate and St Peter says "because you were so loved, you can have one wish granted." Michael knows with his rep he might have a hard time of it with the big guy so he requests someone to sell God on letting him in.
Billy Mays never saw it coming.
Too soon?

look.... people who commit DV don't start that way. they start by harming pets, or because they are products of abuse.

but in the quote/article, it says "macho attitudes" which indicates a whole slew of acts that certain men do to fit into the "manly man" stereotype, which i can see leading to abuse because to be a "real man" you have to dominate your female, and therefore inferior, partner. *head/desk*

Your regular Joe who doesn't feel the need to prove his manliness by telling stupid jokes about women (you may fall in this category) is not the one identified - according to the quote above.

Most people who make a simple crack at race (that you might hear from a stand-up comedian - not something seriously crass) in the company of people who are pretty easy-going and already don't really give a crap about somebody's color are more likely to not perpetuate ugly racist ideals. They may laugh about it and move on.
Now if you're around a bunch of people who have seriously warped ideals about race (whether they're black, white, or otherwise), I imagine the joke might be very ugly, contain racist slurs, and further perpetuate the use of those words and that kind of talk.
I often find myself to be the only person of color in a group and usually have to find a way to show people that, yes, I know I'm the one in this group with the best tan and that it doesn't bother me one bit. That way, people tend to relax and not think I'm gonna freak out on them.

A professor I had (for Human Sexuality Throughout History...loved the Honors College) pointed out that most men (read: American men) have a hard time definitely identifying what IS masculine so they define it by pointing out what they think is NOT masculine, which turns out to be anything that IS feminine. Hence, homophobia.
