When women pay for everything with cash, and I mean like at least 25K on furniture in one sitting, that has to be alarming to anyone who has seen at least 4 minutes of "The Sopranos", "Goodfellas" or lives in the Tri-State area and is beyond familiar with "organized crime".
Who doesn't play car trunk hide and seek at the holidays? We all take turns being locked in the trunk, then we practice swimming with cement blocks tied to our ankles. It's all just fun and games.
Whatever. Most of the kids I went to high school with had "Mafia connections" through their grandparents (the same generation as Caroline's father-in-law). Their families were no longer involved with The Family...I'm sure the same goes for her.
@MissCatie: Yeah, this reminds me of a lot of people I went to school with who had uncles and cousins who maybe ran around with one of Whitey Bulger's guys in Boston and that gave them 'connections'.
@stacyinbean: hahaha precisely. I remember one girl was upset when she found out that her grandfather had given up the "opportunity" to be so and so MafiaMan's right hand.
In my graduate studies class about media literacy, there was a girl who dedicated her semester project to Italians and Mafia stereotypes. She had gotten it her whole life (very Italian features and very Italian last name) and was absolutely fed up. Your Mafia Princess girl would've gotten absolutely chewed out. LOL
what do you expect? for her to say, oh yes... my entire family... thick as thieves, in fact we are thieves...and organized about it too. not going to happen.
@MissCatie: Well I guess technically, she is living the good life now, because someone was stealing goods from trucks and then selling them years ago. And I think if she was just like "Oh of course there is some sort of connection", we could all move on. But legally she cant and we cant refute the evidence.
This series should be called Real Embodiments of Stereoytypes: Jersey mob wives, cussin fussin Black baby mommas, Blonde twits and gold diggers of all shades.
However, I will not get angry for it provided one of the best moments of tv history:
