Unlikely, since that actor was also recently the "bad guy" in a Law & Order episode and I can't see Mad Men copying that particular storyline.
The reason those plot points seem similar is that they're logical narrative trajectories for both. I somehow doubt S, C, D, and P are going to get re-absorbed. I don't think Mad Men relies on keeping the cast together in the same way The Office does, either. #madmenandtheoffice
This just shows how much my love for The Office has waned in recent years...I read this claim and thought, "don't insult Mad Men like that!!!" #madmenandtheoffice
I finally watched the MM finale and didn't even make that connection. Huh.
I loved the pioneer spirit of all the new peeps in their office/hotel room! And I totally predicted that Joan would come in and whip that shit into shape. #madmenandtheoffice
There really is no way to tell what sort of human she would have become under different circumstances – but then is there ever? For all I know Betty would be just as boring in modern times, but last time I checked I didn't believe in feminism for some, or feminism for the nice, or feminism for friends only. #madmen
If you consider Lois continuing to be employed as a way they are treating a woman, then yes, I find it occasionally funny how women are treated on the show. #billclinton
Hey, in the 60s, a woman could be pinned down on the office floor by a coworker who wanted to see what color underwear she had on. But on the plus side, you could run over an executive's foot with a John Deere and still come into work the next day. Always a silver lining. #billclinton
@CurtCole: I love that picture so much, I want to steal its identity after it dies in battle and then move to New York to live under its name and become a fancy ad man and marry a trophy wife who I constantly cheat on. But then, I express my love differently than a lot of people. #billclinton
"The way women were treated is appalling, and only occasionally funny to me... and when I say that, I mean I feel just that touch of schadenfreude whenever Betty is callously treated. Sure the misogyny isn't great, but Christ I HATE that character and like to see her get her come uppance. Much love, January." -Former President Bill Clinton #billclinton
@LaComtesse: I love seeing characters I dislike get theirs, but I like seeing them get it as a result of their actions, not their identities. #billclinton
This reminds me of the time Bill came over for a Mad Men party early and kept saying, "Another Old Fashioned!" and giggling, and then he ate all of the hors d'oeuvres before the show started, and in the first commercial break he went to the bathroom and passed out but nobody noticed until 11:15. #billclinton
@FrabjousDay: Joe Biden was pretty distracting with his never-ending commentary, good-natured groping, and new fedora purchased for the occasion. That guy really fancies himself a world-class anecdotalist.
You ever watch that TV series "Mad Men?" If I keep watching this program, will I ever find a happy person?
I don't know, Ken Cosgrove always seems rather chipper to me. But I don't think that will last for long, when he gets back from holiday and all... #billclinton
@MissBuckyC: If there is a Team Kinsey, I am decidedly on Team Peggy in that rivalry. That's not to say that I don't love that they are rivals! #billclinton
@She-Prime: I like to think that when he saw her empty office and was all "damn!" it wasn't because he was jealous but because he knows she's better than him and therefore this new firm will be better than his so he'll eventually be fired because it will be put out of business by the combined awesome of Don and Betty. So now he doesn't hate her he admires her. #billclinton
@Cimorene: I'm hoping they end up becoming professional rivals in different firms. Kind of like Devon Banks and Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, complete with ominous music. :)
OR Duck hires Kinsey. Then the sh*t will go down! #billclinton
Maybe it's a 'look back at that and laugh' kind of funny and some of it just isn't far enough back yet. (like i don't know, spousal rape?) #billclinton
