I think her expression in that photo is adorbs with the dress. It works in context. (and isn't considered tacky to not wear the designers clothes to the show if you're one of the invited celebrities?)
@pantsless economist...access RESTORED: It is my goal to one day have someone who will be the Waldorf to my Statler. Seriously, my love for those crabby dudes will never abate. You are now heartily hearted for the reference.
I wonder what, exactly, you'd expect an objective source to say about the essence of love. "It's everything except that red rose parfum crap. Man that stuff stinks. Ignore Ashley, it's just the crack talking."
@lafleur: OH no! I was just making that up to make a joke on the insane sizing in the high-end industry! I don't know what sizes really are available. Sorry for confusion....
i think its really interesting that the same time that project runway is experiencing its WORST season to date (really, it is no better than that horrible Fashion Show shit with Issac Mizwhocares), ANTM is having its BEST cycle in YEARS. I never thought I would actually say it, but there are more interesting people and talent on ANTM than Project Runway.
but some of the girls on it are way better than they have been in the past. like bloody eyeball girl and crazy country girl in the gidget outfit. i dont know, ive been slacking on antm for the past couple seasons because no one is likeable, but those two just make my heart jump for joy. and no one on project runway this season is very likeable (or talented).
I thought "blue" was such a crappy challenge idea - it was kind of blah. And I too thought Tim had been praising the shirtdress - usually what he says meshes well with what the judges seem to say later, but maybe this was one of the times when it didn't? Or else it really was a misunderstanding. Hopefully next week we'll get back to the really interesting challenges. *sigh*
Can we talk about Irina and her stank attitude?
-First, she essentially told Shirin and Gordana that they were equally undesirable to her as partners.
-She shut out Gordana, didn't even want her input on fabric at Mood. She wasn't a leader or a partner.
-She kept complaining about Gordana's lovely blouse. She tried to make it tackier by sticking on embellishments and making the sash tie in a bow instead of being sewn on.
-Even though they were in the top, she threw Gordana under the bus, pretending Gordana didn't try to help at all, and taking credit for the blouse.

That was a seriously chic day-to-night wear. And while I'm not into tunics and leggings, her drapey top was freaking terrific.
Also, if Nicolas doesn't get sent home next week, that will be confirmation of crack smoking on the judges' parts.
