    Is this interesting? Really? I thought that television was supposed to be an escape, and now it's becoming this meta, omnipresent version of The Hills and its staged reality. It's permeated everything. There are no longer any lines between real and fake. I am simultaneously homicidally outraged and so bored I'm about to faint.

    If I wanted to see terrible self obsessed people get in fights and almost break up, I'd get my boyfriend and I drunk on red whine and just look at ourselves in the mirror as the magic unfolds. #eightisenough

    Can't live with the guilt of emotionally abusing Hailey. Can live with guilt of leaving wife with 8 young children and embarking on a spree of douchewaddery.

    ETA: My favorite is 11. Mary is a fixture in life; I remember getting high in high school and watching her and John Tesh. Awwww yeah.

    Didn't Hailey say on the Insider that she doesn't ever wear makeup. That she isn't even sure if makeup runs when she cries? This is like the fifth time I've seen her on t.v. this week with clown makeup.

    Are they getting paid for these interviews?

    Also, my eyes are burning. I should probably go watch Frontline or something.

    @mfnher: Of course they're getting paid. There is NO WAY that they would do all these interviews for no money. They're hawking this relationship for all it's worth and I'm starting to think it's all just an act and a ploy for him to make money without doing the show or getting a real job. #eightisenough

    @mfnher: May I suggest that everyone and go watch a whole season of "This American Life" on Showtime (can be purchased on itunes as well) for some good old fashioned good tv, with delightfully wrought, intelligently written stories of lovely people who ARE NOT THESE PEOPLE.

    Ira Glass, you make everything better. It's like he's tucking you with in with warm milk. #eightisenough

    @zendonut: I saw season 1. Has season 2 already come out? I must say, I really only see these characters on Jezebel and The Soup. It's just good old-fashioned schadenfreude. Well, except for the 8 innocent kids and all.

    Perhaps I am a bad person, but I think this new part of the saga is incredibly amusing. He finally realized he's a douche, and everyone else thinks that he is, too, and that he probably was better off before. He can't back pedal fast enough, but it's just so hard because Hailey is high on fame-itis, and she's going to run this out as long as she can. Har har har, Jon. You are soooo screwed. #eightisenough
