Arthur Ortenberg, the widower of Liz Claiborne who helped found her eponymous company, has died. Ortenberg was the partner of former New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn, and his failing health was the reason she cited for leaving the paper after 15 years. Ortenberg was 87.
