It is a terror that could never be silenced. It roams through the dirty cesspool of corrupt civilization, emerging every four years to devour small children and prey upon the weak. It is calling you to the dark side. It is coming.
Clowns terrify me. They remind me of John Wayne Gacy. *shudder*
I was at Pizza Hut several years ago with my family and a birthday party with a clown was going on at the next table. They guy walked past us and put his arm on my shoulder and leaned down to say something to me. I don't remember what it was, but I nearly flipped shit right there.
@BabyJane Mon Dieu! WTF?!: That book is straight-up fricking scary. I remember back in the day when I first read it I was in my apt. alone and I freaked myself out. I had to look in the closet in my bedroom to make sure all was cool.
@BabyJane Mon Dieu! WTF?!: @Hamsterpants: I tried to read that book in eighth grade. I didn't finish it because it really scared the shit out of me, more so than The Shining. I remember the part where he slits his wrists in the bathtub and that his wife used to wash his hair... and I remember when he bites someone's armpit... terrifying, the armpit thing. I'm not sure why that stuck with me. Do you remember that part? He's carrying him and the balloons are everywhere..?
@Eleanor Savage (Shannon): When the balloons showed up in the library...creepy!I should really reread it to see if it's still as scary as I remember it being.

Now I understand what all the digging was for at the Capitol. It wasn't a 'visistor center'. It was a sewer!
