Hasn't the whole ''preg-brain'' thing been debunked, on this very blog, in the last few days? And wasn't there a whole thread expressing relief and happiness at the fact that it's a load of crap?
@lonewolfer: She seems to be hewn from the same stone - I'm a Kidman-fan, but I think Watts may be actually overtaking her in the quality of roles and performances.
She's someone to watch... Anyone remember her in Tank Girl? Even then, I knew she was gonna be big...
@lolaLA: rent The Painted Veil. Gorgeous movie that didn't get enough attention. She's great in it and so is Edward Norton, and it was filmed in China.
I would try to say something witty about the brainpower thing but I too suffer from the Lactose Labotomy.
My oldest two are both boys fairly close in age like hers are. I soooo know the feeling she is talking about. Looking at her and hearing her I felt like she is a kindered spirit - a svelte better looking kindred spirit - but still!
Now I have a third (a girl) and I swear to you, I have never known tiredness or brain-dud-ed-ness (that was the term I cloned for it as in "Mah brain! It's a dud!") like this.
An actress who does not make a fool of herself and her cooch, is beautiful but without any artificiality, has actual talent...Now, she's someone I can admire!
She was so sweet and funny. I could tell she was tired.
But I also have two under two. One is getting his molars and has just discovered how to get out of his crib. The other is getting his first set of teeth at an absurdly young age. I honestly can't tell you the last time I changed my clothes. I know I should feel motherly solidarity with her. But I was super jealous of the fact that she had obviously had a recent shower.
@Slumdog_Mamabear: Oh you poor thing! I remember walking into the bathroom and seeing my little brother in a bouncy seat on the floor while my mother was frantically showering before he flipped out! I can't even imagine what 2 under 2 would be like on a daily basis!
@stacyinbean: The truth is that my two are freakishly mellow. They both slept 12 hours a night at three weeks old.
There are days or weeks that it is really tough to do this job. But it is also a stupid amount of fun. My son and I played with Pay-do for the first time today. His little mind was BLOWN. Funny stuff like that keeps me from running to the phone to call the nanny agency.
That and the fact that he pronounces truck with an "f"
@k8emcg: Oh it is magical! Conversation that doesn't involve counting or bodily functions (well, not too often) that I do not have to bathe or get in my shower to participate in. This is heaven I tell you!

In college my boyfriend and I began referring to water was "watts," which quickly turned into "Naomi Watts."
As in: "I'm so hung over, will you get some Naomi Watts on the way back from the bathroom?"

Whatever, I still kind of dig it.:)

Does that make me terrible?

Because the term "lactose lobotomies" is unbelievably clever. Hell, even though I'm not a mom, I still wouldn't have come up with that!
