Mimi's downsizing has apparently come at the behest of one Andre Leon Talley, who works for a certain ladymag named Vogue. (You might remember Vogue is same publication that told Laura and Kate Mulleavy, the sisters-designers behind Rodarte, to lose weight as well.) My name is Jennifer, and I'm a Rodarte-aholic. OK, so I don't actually own anything Rodarte, but I really, really wish I did because I just can't get enough of sister act Laura and Kate Mulleavy's ethereal designs, which look like they're patched together with cotton candy, fairy wings, and the high spirit of Art. The Fall/Winter 2008 collection seemed to be comprised of all those things, as well as a butterfly wing here or there. Or perhaps the looks were watercolored by a naughty woodland nymph? This may make sense if you look for yourself in the gallery that begins below. In a nutshell: It's beautiful.
