    Every time I see Clive Owen I think of that scene in "Closer" where he tells Julia Roberts "Fuck of and die, you slag." He was so heartbreakingly beautiful and unbelievable hot in that entire movie. I have been in love with him ever since.

    @Vivelafat is the Quizat Haderach: sigh. I love him in that film. I love him in everything but particularly in that film, even though he's largely horrible throughout, he's such a magnificent bastard that it works for me every time.

    @Vivelafat is the Quizat Haderach: Closer is one of my favorite movies. I was going through a divorce at the time I saw it and it just hit me on SO many levels. He was amazing in it.

    @Vivelafat is the Quizat Haderach: I do not like that movie, but as always, he gives a brilliant performance,


    He is one of the only men I have encountered that turns me on with his cursing and loud use of the F-Bomb.


    When he's screaming about world injustices in Beyond Borders I want to melt. I do, actually. I start ... leaking.

    @Vivelafat is the Quizat Haderach: For reasons you can no doubt guess, I know that film and that scene very well, and must point out that what he actually says is "Now fuck off and die, you fucked-up slag". The extra f-bomb is KEY.


    I totally die inside when he says "Did you ever love me..." Julia Roberts is SO UNWORTHY.

    @jollydolly: Ahhh, I can't believe I missed the extra "fuck". In my defense I've only seen it once. But yes, Julia Roberts is SO unworthy. I actually thought his character was very nuanced.

    I love Clive Owen. I have a sad and pathetic Clive Owen corner on my DVD collection which even includes 1980s city drama Chancer (Clive as a spiv on the make during the 80s boom, it's genius). It sits next to my Vincent Cassel collection of every film Mr Cassel has ever been in.

    @athenaswisdom: oh I worship Croupier. I even like the follow-up by the director I'll Sleep When I'm Dead although not everyone agrees. I must admit to not even drawing the line at Arthur although I have to fastforward whenever Kiera Knightly appears with her unique interpretation of Gueneviere as a jolly hockey sticks 1950s Roedean school girl.

    @Bunson.: My husband stays home and it is teh awesome. Makes my life a lot easier, kiddo gets QT with dad, a couple of days at daycare to give dad a break, and my husband is rid of a job he hated (though he didn't quit, he was laid off).
