    @bess marvin, girl detective: My daughter (about the same age as Alice) wants to be a zombie for Halloween but also wants to incorporate handcuffs into the outfit too.

    We toyed with Undead Police Officer for a while, then landed on Unjustly Imprisoned Girl Now Undead and Seeking Revenge on the People that Locked Her Up. So, basically, prisoneresque pajamas, handcuffs, fake chains, dust and fake bugs in her hair, zombie make up.

    She would totally get into being a BaconBot too, such is her love for seasoned meat snacks.

    My kid = not a Barbie girl. So lucked out with that one. #tinafey

    My mom felt this same way, however I rebelled. She dressed me up as raggedy anne with face make-up and all. I cried and cried until she dressed me up as a princess! I turned out normal. Sorta. #tinafey

    @marshmallory: my roomate and i went as aerobics barbies one year. We found some really awful blue leotards and those crazy shiny tights and we wore big blonde wigs and $5 blue pointed toe pumps. It was so much fun!

    @marshmallory: 2 years ago my ex and I went as Britney Spears and Richard Simmons. Yeah, they don't match up, but it was AWESOME. He wore a blonde fro, short shorts, a sequined tank top, and a headband. It was fabulous. #tinafey

    @squeakel: you know, I really just admire women who make their own choices about when to have sex, full stop. Age of consent obviously aside, sex and when to have should be a personal choice. I respect women who choose to wait as equally I respect women who choose to be sexually active.
    And I would like to think that, as women are sentient human beings, all choices are made during the presence of mind. And I respect that. #tinafey

    Just to be clear, I don't NOT respect women who were sexaully active early. I was one of those people.

    I just singled out women who have waited for some props because there is a LOT of pressure to have sex. I admire people who are true to themselves in the face of a lot of societal pressure. It's brave.

    Women who have sex earlier may be being true to themselves, but they're not resisting societal pressure (unless they're from religious community.) It's perfectly fine, but it's an easier decision to make. #tinafey

    @Mary McCarthyite: The Indiana state fair this year made a huge deal about having a stand that sold chocolate-covered bacon, but everyone I know who got it said the bacon was cold, chewy and generally disgusting. So yes, limp chocolate-covered bacon = NOT good. #tinafey

    @Mary McCarthyite: I'll tell you what, though...as a late bloomer myself, I love to hear about it, and love that virgins in their 20s who think that there's something wrong with them get to hear about it.

    But it is annoying that it gets brought up so much (and the way it's brought up), so instead of, "Hey Tina Fey! So, you're a brilliant and groundbreaking comedian who busted up the old boys club at Saturday Night Live?" we get "Hey Tina Fey! So you didn't lose your virginity until you were 24? Weird!" #tinafey

    @Mary McCarthyite: Well, I think she might regret mentioning it to begin with, but she's taking it all in stride. Like others, I get the feeling she still sort of sees herself as the geeky "ugly girl" and on some level feels more comfortable with self-deprecation than praise. Like Dave complimented the cover and she said "Ahh yes but there was a wind machine and gay magic and when it was over I looked like Michelle Duggar."

    The "That's good Christian values...and being homely" part nearly made me wet my pants.

    @minnesotameltdown: Yeah, I think it's a good example of how when you lost the V-card doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things.
