<![CDATA[10 Things You May Have Missed On TV This Week]]> In this week's compilation of pop culture crap, Chris Brown sits down for his first interview since his last interview, Oprah interviews the Connecticut woman attacked by a chimp, and Carrie Prejean calls for women to "stick together."

1.) Chris Brown loves women.
He appeared on The Wendy Williams Show today to continue The Remorse Tour '09.

2.) The Unveiling of Charla Nash
Charla—who had her hands and face gruesomely torn off by her friend's pet chimp—was interviewed by Oprah this week. Her eyes were lost in the attack, so she hasn't seen what she looks like.

Also, while I generally love primates, the one who attacked Charla looks like an asshole.

3.) Slade's smiley

4.) Ben Affleck's cameo on Curb Your Enthusiasm
If you blink, you'll miss him.

5.) Tabloid stars collide

On The Insider this week, Jon Gosselin was giving Levi Johnston some "parenting advice." Earlier in the week on the same show, he went into some detail about his responsibility as a parent.

And he also talked shit on Kate's hair and kissing skills.

6.) Speaking of hair…
This kid has been suspended from school for getting an elaborate design shaved into his head. He is not allowed to return unless he shaves the rest of his head. His parents are supporting his "freedom of expression." Judging from the way he speaks, this kid needs a lot more school, and a little less expression.

7.) Men blame everything on our periods!

8.) This:

9.) Stephanie Pratt is growing on me.

10.) "It's important for women to stick together."
Faux-minism is not the answer for tackling double standards, when you don't even know what "double standards" are.

<![CDATA[Carrie Prejean Threatens To Leave Larry King Live Over Gay Phone Call]]> Last night, Carrie Prejean became hostile when Larry King asked about her Miss California Pageant settlement. He then took a call from a gay pageant fan, which prompted Prejean to remove her mic and mouth, "I'm walking off this."

<![CDATA[Mariah Carey: What Is A Diva?]]> Last night on Larry King Live, Mariah tried to explain the term "diva." She started out making sense and then, somewhere along the line, cupcakes got involved. Oh, also: she stuck her finger in her cleavage and then smelled it.

Reason #580 that I love her: She tries to be classy by insisting that her fragrance Forever is called a "parfum" instead of a "perfume," and then she goes digging in her cleavage on television.

Mariah on Mariah.

Also, Larry's interviewing skills are questionable.

<![CDATA[Wife Swap Partners: Richard Heene "Abusive"; Mayumi "Kinda Crazy"]]> Last night, Sheree Silver and her 15-year-old son Andrew—who appeared on Wife Swap earlier this year with the Heene family—spoke about their experiences with Balloon Family on Larry King Live. Andrew said, "Mayumi was, um, kinda crazy?"

His mother Sheree did not like Richard Heene, and claims that he tried to get her to pitch another reality show with him.

Sheree also says that Richard was as ill-behaved as his children.

Barbara Slusser—who met the Heenes two years ago when she helped Richard with a science paper he published, and subsequently worked with him as one of the Psyience Detectives—says that she severed ties with the family when Richard said that he was going to bring his children along to chase Hurricane Gustav. She felt he was endangering the lives of his children.

<![CDATA[Hoax? Balloon Boy Sells Out His Father On Live TV]]> Tonight, the Heene family went on Larry King Live, where six-year-old "balloon boy" Falcon Heene explained that he didn't come out of his hiding place because his parents told him not to... because "we were doing this for a show."

Notice how the dad, Richard Heene, seems crushed, as though the jig is up, right after Falcon answers Wolf Blitzer's question. All he could muster was a sigh and, "Oh, man." At one point, Richard put on some seemingly fake tears when he was talking about how he felt when he saw his son alive, which prompted his kids to ask, "Why are you crying?" Later in the show, Blitzer returned to Falcon's odd answer, and the father got flustered, defensive and angry. I'm not really buying that this kid sat in a box in the attic for four hours; he can barely sit still next to his father for five minutes, and kept getting up and walking away in the middle of the interview.

I'm also not buying 10-year-old Bradford's story about seeing his brother get in the balloon, but not really seeing him get in the balloon. Don't depend on little kids to competently lie for you on live television.

When asked whether or not this was a publicity stunt, Richard said no, and then went on to publicize his career as a weather chaser.

<![CDATA[Jon Gosselin Didn't Get The Motorcycle TLC "Promised" Him, Cancels Show]]> On last night's Larry King Live, Jon Gosselin discussed his decision to halt production of Kate Plus 8. Essentially—after failed contract negotiations—he's taking his balls and going home. (Or resting them on some babysitter's chin somewhere.)

With his slimy lawyer in tow, Jon went on TV to publicize his crusade to stop the publicity! Even though he was filming for TLC as recently as last Friday, Jon said that he had an "epiphany" that he no longer wanted his family to be on TV, which conveniently came right after TLC dropped his name from the show, but refused to release him from his exclusive contract with them. (Making it impossible for him to get "Divorced Dads Club" off the ground, a project he'd been putting together with Michael Lohan and possibly Kevin Federline.)

Just last month, Jon refuted tabloid claims that the show was harmful to his children.

Even though he denies that this whole thing just boils down to contract negotiations, Jon does admit that he doesn't get along with the TLC brass, saying that they, at one point, put him on "house arrest." It's obvious that TLC has a particular disdain for Gosselin; they issued a rather scathing statement, something that networks pretty much never do.

We are aware of Jon Gosselin's recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin's repeated self-destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents. - Laurie Goldberg, Senior VP, TLC

He also did a real shit job at denying affairs with any other women other than Hailey Glassman. However, he has issued an apology to his ex-wife…via an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, airing tonight.

<![CDATA[Tyra Teaches Larry King How To Smize]]> Tyra was on Larry King Live last night, where she discussed her recent weight loss, made Larry touch her real hair, and taught him how to smize, something that can land non-models a second date...or even a job!

Tyra said that she's finally learning how to "celebrate" her success. In this clip, she discusses her recent weight loss and how she likes her salad prepared.

In this clip, she makes Larry touch her "natural" hair, which she admits is actually chemically straightened and dyed.

<![CDATA[Commenters Do Not Forgive Chris Brown Or Like His Bow Tie]]> During last night's interview with Chris Brown on Larry King Live, comments from the show's blog and Facebook page appeared on the screen. Most of the commenters hate Brown. But Brown hates the "immature media" of "blog sites" anyway.

This one was my favorite. I had a feeling that LKL edits these things down for when they appear on TV, so I found the original on Facebook, and as I suspected, it's way better: "True playas know that you don't take your anger and frustration out on your girlfriend by hitting them...you are supposed to use that type of energy in bed during sex. Wow Chris, you drop the ball on that one or maybe I should say your hand. Love your music though. Micheal is gone now, its time for you to shine Homeboy."

"I'm willing to bet my paychecks that he doesn't change."

"He should be in prison, these stars get away with way too much!"

"I agree he got off light. I also believe he'll offend again"

"He's just doing everything to save his career"

"He is who he is. All the money in the world can't erase that"

Jasmina's full comment from Facebook: "I love his innocent outfit for the show...and from the clips shown these last several evenings, how he plays everyone or at least tries, like a fine violin. Poor Baby....NOT! Send him away....."

Tyler's comment initially seems anti-violence, but this was his original comment on Facebook: "Any man who does this to a woman is not man enough to do it to another man"

"There is no way he can redeem himself, he showed his colors"

"The only thing he cares about is making millions"

"It's hard to tell if he's sorry, or sorry he got caught"

(This guy is just jealous.) "I would not have gotten off with probation!"

This is the conversation on the LKL blog today.

<![CDATA[Chris Brown Does Remember Assaulting Rihanna, He Just Won't Talk About It]]>

"There have been reports on the Internet that I didn't remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight. That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said. The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, 'Do you remember doing it?' and I said, 'No.' Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can't believe it happened because it is not me or who I am, nor is what happened like anything I have ever done before." There's more, but it's similarly vague. He does say he wants to talk to a counselor about what happened and how to channel his anger. [People, TMZ]

  • In an interview with TV Guide, Paula Abdul talks about her emotional farewell from American Idol. "You know, to say ‘no regrets' isn't easy," Paula said. "I feel like I have been such a big, huge part of the success of the show from day one. I loved being able to be the artist's artist; being there from my point of view of knowing what it feels like to be vulnerable and to be out there wanting to achieve the most magical moment in a minute and 30 seconds. To be able to do that was an amazing experience and the show was wonderful for me in that regard." But she will not be taken advantage of! "I stand on principle where many people stand on money," she explained. "I'm a hard-working artist. I've lasted in this business for 23 years. And you can't do that unless you are good at what you do. I believe in myself and you have to have your own self-respect." [MSNBC]

The single exception on the list is Elisabeth Moss, the ambitious, naive Peggy Olson in Mad Men, which recently returned for its third season. If Moss, who is 27, were to win, she would be the youngest winner in the category's history." [Philadelphia Inquirer]
  • Kim Mathers did an interview with a Detroit radio station about her ex-husband, Eminem. She did not hold back, saying: "I can't stand him. He's an absolutely horrible person and he gets worse every day. I vomit in my mouth whenever I'm around him or I hear his name. There's nothing left in me for him. Nothing at all. <![CDATA[Chris Brown On Larry King Live: "It's Just, Like, Wow"]]> CNN has released a clip of Chris Brown's pre-taped interview, set to air Wednesday on Larry King Live. In it, Brown says that he doesn't remember hitting Rihanna, saying, "I'm like, it's crazy to me. I'm like, wow."

Brown also says that when he hears reports of what he did to his ex-girlfriend, "I just look at it like, wow. I'm in shock, because that's not who I am as a person…I don't know what to think. It's just like, wow."

On the infamous photo of Rihanna's beaten face, Brown says, "When I look at it now, it's just like, wow. I can't believe that that actually happened."

Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins was also present for the interview, and says that she was "totally shocked" by his assault because "Chris has never ever been a violent person."

However, reports have come out that Brown and Rihanna's relationship was plagued with violence. The couple got in a shoving match in Europe three months prior to the February incident. Also, in January 2009, the couple got into an argument in a car in Barbados, during which Brown exited the vehicle and smashed the driver and passenger side windows.

<![CDATA[Twitter Users Want Kate Gosselin To Go Away]]> Last night, Kate Gosselin appeared calm, poised, and well-spoken on Larry King Live. She declined to reveal details about her divorce and seemed to have a firm grasp on "personal" and "public." Tweeters, however, did not.

"Kate really needs to stop acting like a celebrity"

"Look at these poor kids. Stay out of the media!"

"My first concern is the welfare of the children"

"Kate, you can just walk away"

"Why still have the cameras on the kids now?"

"Is Kate at all worried about her young boy's character?"

"Having 8 kids without a dad is not going to be easy"

"If Kate hates photographers following her, just stop the show"

"Are you alienated from your own family now?"

"Why are these children continuously exploited for the show?"

"Free yourself from your frustrations & leave the public eye"

"How would Kate like it if her parents televised her?"

When Larry asked Kate if she thought Jon was a good father, she paused.

<![CDATA[YouTube Commenters Weigh In On Michael Jackson's Ghost]]> On July 2, Larry King Live aired a tour of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, during which the "ghost" of MJ made an appearance. The clip was uploaded to YouTube. The comments enlighten us on paranormal activity/the state of modern literacy.

BELIEVERS

Sixten77poopie: oh shit he's back

1deviousbastard: This kind of ghost is called a "Shadow Person". They have been sighted throughout history. I don't think it looks like MJ but I doubt this is a fake shadow person because it is not upon a wall. It is also upright and does not have any bends in it. A person's shadow would stretch across the floor and then up the walls which this clearly doesn't do. CGI is the only explanation I can think of for a fake. BUT it was on live TV so.......it could be the real deal.

ElastigirlBLUD: My friend - a devoted Michael Jackson fan - just saw his face in the clouds. She says he smiled at her, and morphed into wings and flew away. She wouldn't lie. Then she watched this video, and saw him again, but sleeping. I believe this is MJ. CNN wouldn't ruin their rep with a stunt like this.

Gusypolarbear: ha yea, i feel sorry for people that dont believe in spirits, so much prove in the world, and people still say its fake, ha thats funny. Ghost exist people!!! stop putting excuses down

ziomea: OMG IS MICHEAL JORDAN lol

ScarlettTait: That is no shadow guys, i have seen 2 spirits before and thats exactly what they look like! Michael Jackson will go on forever! I,m glad he still walks the halls of his home

frankster1500: if u look closely yeah the gost is walking toward a door it's not gtting smaller or bigger do you see it's a ghost and the non believers have to believe that they where wrong
btw i didnt likes his music but the ghost is fucking real you see that's my point

NON-BELIEVERS
Sarlomus: It's fake.. don't destroy his carrier with this

ayanatajana: Honestly how can people believe that figure is Michael Jackson? when you die you either go to Haven or Hell and you stay there, This is the work of the Devil, just playing tricks on you to scare you, Michael is in a better place and hes not here to scare you,

tannguyen1981: after haviing watched this video, i received a strange phone call...
okay, sorry for this bad joke. I couldn't resist. But really guys, if this video is fake, you must tell it to the world. If you don't, you will cause much troubles among different religious groups; and this is no joke at all. michael jackson fans, please don't believe it too much.

Darkderya: MJ wasn´t FAT, and this "ghost" is FAT. Look closer, left side from fireplace. Hmm AND I don´t think that a ghost have a shadow. But belive what you want.

ScoooobzTuuuube: michael jackson is whiter then that ghost... fake

edvardukas111: M,J is died so don't try fake us

AmericanMatthew: How can it be that MJ walks as a ghost when his brain was removed of his cranium? Without a brain it is impossible to walk as a Ghost around. Or what do you think about?

CONFUSED

hollistar195: lol freaky but duno if to believe it tho mj hmmm mayb mayb not i dont fink so its a shodow person

kaylahOXOX: i know this might sound a bit "nutty" but i have never truely beleived in ghosts for it is known that once the body takes its last breath the soul is taken to another place... heaven or hell i have no idea but that image could well be a satanic image (demon) posing as michael jackson to turn us away from god i guess. just another opinion to throw in the muck.

cerbman1: This is probably fake, but if not, could it be a past event bleeding through from another time? this kind of thing happens in my household at times, but I must add that although MJ has visited my city, he has never visited me lol.

iam92w: this is so STUPID, just let him rest.. just think: if this is real, i am so sorry for MJ. aren't ghosts the 'spirits' of those who have died, have not 'passed over' and are trapped inside the property where their memories and energy are strong? that doesn't sound like much fun

married151: If in any way this video is not a hoax the logical explanation for what you are seeing is a demon posing as Michael Jackson to throw off humans about the real truth about what happens when you die.

CONFUSING

TheTruth226: dude if there was another person there how would there be a shadow if there was never berly light there dumbass and if it was a persons shadow from the window then it would show up on the wall not the fucken hallway

spanjalex: I didn't know that grass could grow in that types of environments. Especially not with that girth.

ryanburke2kaii8: it might be fake...but if it was the shadow of som1 else it wud of trailed bak to the person standing at the door and it wud b a much stronger shadow also you wud not be able to see the feet and the shadow or even the spirit of michael is walking in the opposite..if its fake they shud just leave him alone hes dead now they should leave him rest in peace..

CONFUSED AND CONFUSING

maju8788: naaaa
death people are death
and they dont know nothing
its a fallen angel

MASTER DEBATERS

married151: King Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived on earth, tells us that death is closely related to sleep. We do not love or hate, we do not work or conspire, we can do nothing in death because there is no immortal soul or spirit that resides after death.

uberd0gAlpha: King Solomon knew shit. "We do not love or hate" when sleeping? Really? Really? You mean we don't dream about loving and hating? Coz I'm pretty fucking sure I do!

macman851: He was talking about when we are asleep in our graves, not alseep in our beds.
That's what Sheol means, the grave. For some reason they had a hard time translating that in the King James version of the Bible, but Jesus explained it with Lazarus.

MASTER DEBATERS 2

gotohellfast: It could be the ghost of a molested child...

Zomaak: That YOU molested?
Grow up, you cunt fucker.

gotohellfast : "Grow up, you cunt fucker."
Yes, I'm a "cunt fucker".
What do YOU fuck ?

MOONWALK THEORIES

crazymonkeyvince: its a shame that he isn't moonwalking:(

Troyster21: It would have been better if the shadow moonwalked backwards

Towefin: I'd be more impressed if the shadow moon-walked.

SpaardaLT: HE MOONWALKED PAST CAMERa o.O there are no ghosts actually... its just imagination its as dumb as dragons and vampires would exist... Remember you are the most evolved animal on earth... monkeys dont believe in ghosts.. you shouldnt too

1andyshore1: ahhh would have been so much better if he moonwalked acrooss instead of just a regular walk! dissapointed jackson!!

274933259: That isnt MJ, MJ WOUld be moonwalking trough his house. DOn't you ppl know anything!

geekgirl45: If it were Michael's ghost, don't you think he'd moonwalk across instead of sulk across the threshold?

LuaLua0101: rofl ur all retards its real cant u see his hat on the top and the moonwalk

foreverdanie: lol yeah if it was MJ, he'd be moonwalking across the room, to let ppl knw it's still his house lol

EMOTICONS ARE THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

zirgelis123: atrodo tikroviskai, gerai padirbejo kazkas :)

kerenciiiiiiita: xq ponen esa canción?? estaba a todo volumen!. Bueno es su habitación de hecho es el . :(

pzh21: jajaja yac! la musica asii de suspensoo para q te de miedoo! :O jaja

And if all of that wasn't enough, check out these flakes, who believe they can see Michael Jackson in their tree:

<![CDATA[Twitter Users Hate Heidi And Spencer]]> Heidi and Spencer were on Larry King Live last night, talking about their experiences on I'm a Celebrity…, and disliking Al Roker. But viewers' Tweets posted on the screen were far more entertaining than anything the Pratts had to say.

More than anything, we're surprised by the level of literacy in these. But there was probably some intern at LKL changing all the Rs to "are," 2s to "to," and there's to "they're."

<![CDATA[Joy & Joan: When Pots Meet Kettles]]> According to Joy Behar, reality TV is bad to women. While guest-hosting Larry King Live last night, she discussed the genre with Joan Rivers. But who needs reality shows to portray women negatively when these two gladly do it themselves?

<![CDATA[Judge Judy: Chris Brown Assault "Was Not Domestic Violence"]]> Judge Judy was on Larry King Live last night, weighing in on current events. She says that Chris Brown's attack on Rihanna was not domestic violence, but assault. She also believes he'll do it again.

JJ says that if someone has the capacity for that kind of violence, and they don't get treatment for it, they will continue to behave that way. Having been a family court judge for several decades, JJ she explains that Chris Brown's case wouldn't qualify as domestic violence, because the couple didn't live together and weren't related. She said that what allegedly happened between the them was just plain violence.

She also says that she's not surprised that many young people questioned about this case believe that Rihanna probably did something to Brown to warrant the attack: girls, she says, have become more violent in recent years — as evidenced by the trend of girl-on-girl brawls that are filmed and uploaded to YouTube — so many of them know that they are capable of being the perpetrators of violence. JJ adds that of course, this doesn't excuse Brown's behavior, and it doesn't mean that Rihanna did anything to deserve what happened, but it does provide insight into why teens have reacted this way to the incident.

In other news, when Larry asked JJ about Michael Phelps' bong smoking picture, she said that she doesn't believe that pot should be legalized.

<![CDATA[Larry King Panelists Discuss Why Domestic Violence Isn't Just A "Women's Issue"]]> Last night Larry King Live guest host Joy Behar moderated a discussion about domestic violence and pointed out that some people are saying Rihanna provoked Chris Brown to attacking her.

In the clip at left, Robin Givens, who was physically abused by Mike Tyson, and Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, talked about how labeling a violent incident as "domestic abuse" makes some people take the attack less seriously because they assume the victim did something to provoke the attacker. Victor Rivers, who saw his mother being abused as a child, says that the way to end domestic violence may be to get men involved. "There is still this misconception that domestic violence is a woman's issue," says Rivers. "It needs to be everyone's issue." You can watch the rest of the discussion here.

<![CDATA[People Don't Hate Ann Coulter, According To Ann Coulter]]> I'm sorry, but Ann Coulter is hilarious. Tonight, when Joy Behar interviewed her on Larry King Live, and asked Ann if people hate her, she said no. Equally funny: her definition of a "real man."
