I see no reason to shop at the GAP. Their clothes are overpriced for the quality. They need to be cheap like Old Navy/Target/WalMart or good like...lots of other stores.
I don't know if the Gap's problem is their agency and not the fact they make incredibly boring, bland, dumpy clothing. I went in recently and couldn't believe how awful the design was - you can get the same stuff at WalMart for half the price.
" 'As soon as I stopped, I realised how ridiculous it all was.'. . . Apparently, Chung still models - when the project suits her."
Yes, because she probably feels like I do - 'Fashion' is ridiculous, but clothes are lovely. As with all artforms, it's the business side of it that deserves our contempt, not the art itself.
@remedios: I have to agree with her. I feel like designers whose artistic vision begins and ends with a size zero, or who fall back on the old, "but the clothes hang best on thin bodies" line, lack either creativity or talent or both.
When I was a geeky, self-conscious 12 year old in the early 90's leaving through Vogue after Vogue, Helena Christensen was always my favorite of the "original" top supermodels! Oh Helena, I still love you!
Did anyone else just have a vision of Kanye, alone in his basement, hugging a 1950s silk chiffon strapless ballgown to his man chest and twirling and singing, "I FEEL PRETTY OH SO PRETTY I FEEL WITTY AND PRETTY AND GAY!"?
@BrutallyHonestBabes (aka Mrs. Sarah.of.a.Lesser.Hobbit): I actually imagined him tucking his junk between his legs and sauntering towards the mirror slowly as he listened to "Goodbye Horses" while he kept Amber Rose in a pit in the basement. Different Strokes.

Really, it's a lot like stripping or prostitution. Plenty of vague moral reasoning goes out the window when easy money is on the table.
