    I have watched this video three times today. I also happen to be totally neurotic about not repeating things and I generally hate pop music.

    I originally thought Lady Gaga was annoying and pretentious and just a ridiculous pop star who made vacuous music and didn't wear pants.

    Then I heard her playing acoustically and suddenly I was enthralled.

    God dammit, Lady Gaga! Stop doing this to me! I still think your music is absolutely non-sensical but I also think it and everything else you do is kind of genius and I am totally enthralled by you. This isn't fair! I'm supposed to be anti-mainstream, anti-trend and generally contrarian. You are making that hard and my friends think I'm weird now. I'm going to cleanse myself with depressing music that takes a sentence to describe the genre. No, make it two. #ladygagabadromancevideo

    @Dysphoria: She has said in interviews that part of why she writes pop music is that she thinks music doesn't have to be depressing to be good or deep or whatever. I tried to fight the love, but I couldn't help it. The woman is talented and dedicated and somehow manages to be completely crazy, yet taken seriously as an artist, and still, she seems really unpretentious about that.

    I mean, it looks a bit like she's missing a couple organs, but also it looks very different from her body shape throughout the video.

    man, this really set me off today. I have not been able to recover. why does lady gaga look so cool and intriguing and exciting and avant-garde only to turn around and make music that is completely uninspiring? why is she playing with my head? I want to like her. I am willing to pretend that I dont notice her music is bad if only there were some trippy beats or funky sounds or anything that didn't come off as lazy and boring. can she hire new producers or something? whats with the discrepancy? #ladygagabadromancevideo

    Apparently, the subtext is that fancy vodka makes you wear a colander fashioned of chandelier parts as a hat, while doing a dance that I call The Scratching Kitty.

    I plan to do this in front of my Grandma at Thanksgiving.

    That is complete absolute visual majesty (and the tune ain't bad either). I have loved this woman from the first several bars of Poker Face, and this new one is amazing. Ms Germanotta is fearless in both the visual and musical fields. We should also give credit to collaborator and producer RedOne (Nadir Khayat), the Moroccan/Swedish songwriter/producer/synthesizer maniac who for the past year has been injecting European technopop into the States in the form of all Gaga's hits as well key ones by Sean Kingston and Cascada. The Gaga/RedOne collaboration is almost scary. Who would have thought that 2009 would be a good year for dance music? #ladygagabadromancevideo
