    Kimora Lee Simmons is one of those people that I started out hating, but have, over time, grown to like. She would be a great addition to the panel as she does stage runway shows on a regular basis and knows models (and used to be one too).     @EkaterinaBallerina: I watched her reality show for 2 seconds (okay, hours) and she is really amazing with her kids. She makes them "earn" their privileges and she's so patient and loving--I just adore her for that. Plus, the woman has serious business acumen.

    Edited to add: Totes agree with your last sentence. Tyra must have to buy a second seat for her ego when she flies.

    @hortense: None of the winners have had landmark success, but many of the contestants have gone on to successful careers in modeling. I noticed in recent seasons that they've been trying to highlight what past contestants have been up to. It's almost as if they are responding to their detractors by saying "See! We DO produce working models!"

    @EkaterinaBallerina: I noticed last night, though, that one of the success stories looked incredibly suspect. They kept listing different places she's been working, while showing one series of photos that were for one particular brand throughout. Then they said "and she's modeled Gusto on the international runways!" or something like that, then invited us to enter a Cover Girl sweepstakes to win a free Gusto handbag (like they do every week). I don't think working two jobs, including one for a show sponsor, really works.

    @hortense: The modeling is just a means to an end, the end being a hilariously campy and fun reality show. They basically admitted fashion defeat with the short girl cycle.     1. I feel old. I used to get Hello Kitty stuff when you could only find it in specialty stores that also included Asian foods or when my dad would go to Japan and bring back a lunchbox or doll.
    2. I love how much Hello Kitty is embraced by the Goth subculture and turned into something completely weird and cute.
    3. The brand is only 5 years older than me. I feel really, really, really old.
