Some folks felt the post was insensitive and inappropriate. You obviously did not, otherwise you wouldn't have posted it. But to scold those who object as needing to "get a grip" just, well, sucks.

Tracie, it's ok! Your post is creating a dialogue! There's no harm in dialogue, usually!

Nice.

Puking is one of the worst things ever. But in a limo? With a camera crew? And nowhere proper to hurl? My OCD nightmare!

Heh. "Puke" is a funny word.

Because she was a drug addict, and that's not particularly funny?

Seriously all, I couldn't care less about Anna Nicole Smith. Never watched her show, etc. But saying an addict "knew how to party" is trashy and in poor taste.

When did I say that others are not allowed to find it offensive? You are allowed to express your opinion, and I preface my statement just letting you know that I am, in fact, fairly sensitive to the plight of addiction because I have experienced it? And I am told "that's great" but whatever? That was an asshole thing to say.

Calling someone's comment irrelevant doesn't make them an asshole when it's true. And fwiw, it's ok to be called irrelevant sometimes. You'll survive.

My statement may have implied that, to you (and perhaps others), but it was certainly not my intention by any means. It was simply to preface that I have a certain amount of perspective about this topic.
I accept that others will disagree with me, something that you have not done.
If you would like me to probe into why others would find it offensive, I could certainly do that, although I think you've stated your case pretty clearly.

I don't know, you guys, it's Halloween! All I want to do is eat Charleston Chews and sing "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah."

I am going to respond to your comment with a simple yes. I should not have said anything about her "knowing how to party." I brought it up because that seemed to be the sticking point that some found offensive. It was more that I did not find the particular comment offensive, not that I have any strong opinions about it (none that I will dive into on the thread, that is).
That said, she did not die of complications due to partying. She died because she was an addict. Addicts don't give a shit about partying. Which is probably why I disconnected the comment from the tragedy of addiction.
I don't know, it's just my opinion and I am sensitive about it (obviously). So, I apologize that it may be an unpopular opinion but I did take offense to someone saying my viewpoint was irrelevant.

"Kimmie's puking in a hat..." and "oh that was a bad puke" Howard is just so caring...
Man, I miss that show! The question is now- whatever happened to Kimmie??

That said, I am a big fan of "expelling the demons."
ANS was just a sad, sad......sad person. Good heart, lots of troubles.

That is what watching the Anna Nicole Show was like for me, and yeah I loved the shit out of it too.
