I have to say, my opinion of Shanna Moakler has improved significantly in the wake of this Carrie Prejean situation. While everyone else has been pussyfooting around the issue, she has bluntly stated that she thinks Prejean is a bigot and an idiot. I like that a lot.
Psychology
a. the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.
b. Psychoanalysis. such an ascription relieving the ego of a sense of guilt or other intolerable feeling.
Ex. Katy Perry says of American Idol, "How many of us know that one person that has been trying and trying, and doing karaoke and little gigs here and there at, like, an open mic. And nobody has told them they can't sing in pitch-for, like, 15 years... You're like, 'Somebody needs to say something' and unfortunately, I might be that gal to tell you the truth."
I don't want to start any rumors, but did Jennifer Aniston have an alibi or is it just an unfortunate coincidence that Renee was broadsided by someone making an illegal U-turn into her car?
@kookla: Right, I'm not saying she did it, in fact, I'm sure she didn't. But I just don't understand why she won't come forward with the documentation proving she wasn't at the scene of the accident.
It really bothers me that I cannot remember how long we've been hearing about Carrie Prejean. That means it's far, far, far, far, FAR too long. That incoherent pile of hair needs to return to the obscurity her intellect warrants...stat.
Um, Carrie Prejean-- firing you for being an idiot and not fulfilling your contract is not the same thing as religious discrimination. You are not being persecuted; please stop insulting victims of true persecution.
@bluebears: Love it. :o) Though it scares the crap out of me and I am so slow at this type of reading (thus on Jezebel). I hope I get more efficient at the reading; I'm seriously sleep deprived.
ETA: plus, I think she looks good! She's had work done, but she hasn't gone overboard and she clearly knows when to stop. Why can't she either (a) be honest or (b) shut it?
@bluebears: Seriously. She looks younger now than she did in her twenties. Exercise and clean living will only get you so far. In the words of GOB, "COME ON!"

@Vivelafat says Sweep the leg, Johnny.: You know, I believe she had no help with that, I really do. She was in her mid-thirties (it's from Striptease, right?) and worked out a lot- it was around the same time as GI Jane and it would be hard to fake that or get it through surgery.
What I do NOT believe is that she has done nothing to her face or that she hasn't gotten surgery since then. I saw a photo of her a week or two ago and frankly it didn't really look like her. Beautiful, sure, but not her. The shape of her face was different and age doesn't do that.
So, yeah, her comment is total and utter BS. Fillers and botox are plastic surgery, no matter what her doctor might be telling her.
@Vivelafat says Sweep the leg, Johnny.: Making it suck even more to be one of her daughters. Now they have to look as good as her when they get older and wonder why they don't, without surgery. Not that French Marie Claire is above making shit up.
@Blueberry26: You need to watch Blame it on Rio. Demi was flat chested and looks nothing like this. No judgment - let's just own it. Especially when you are an actress and your "transformations" are well documented.
@slowpoke.r: I don't think fillers and botox are plastic surgery. Don't things have to be surgery for that?
I mean, when I get shots at the doctors, I'm not having surgery...
@slowpoke.r: Yeah, we need some old face pics. Definite (good) nosejob, and eyes (probably more than injectables)
There were rumors circulating when she broke up with Willis that her "addiction" to cosmetic surgery had played a role; so wtf is this Demi? Just own it.
@greengrey: Well, immunizations are a little different than injecting a substance that changes the shape of your face, I think. In any case, you're right in that it might not be surgery per se, but they are cosmetic procedures which fall under the commonly if incorrectly used term "plastic surgery." In some ways it's more about intent than about the procedure itself.
@slowpoke.r: I think just calling them "cosmetic procedures" is the way to go. I mean, injecting collagen in my feet so I can wear heels? Not surgery, but not "necessary". And VERY different from having "surgery".
Surgery sucks. And hurts. And I hate it, haha. Stuff injected? Eh, not so bad.
But yes, it isn't "aging naturally".
@slowpoke.r: She may look different, but she also looks so young and really amazing in this photo no matter what she is doing. She looks younger than BabyJane's "before" photo, and she is standing next to a woman in her 20's.
Just because she claims she isn't getting surgery doesn't mean she isn't selling little pieces of her soul to the devil to look that young. Even if we buy her crap about not going under the knife (because I think that's all she means as plastic surgery), it's really hard to believe she is achieving this look without hard dedication to diet, exercise (trainers!), expensive beauty treatments, and botox and fillers. She probably also gets frequent chemical peels, possibly laser and microdermabrasion, veneers, and teeth whitening too.
I'm no fan of plastic surgery, but I don't think just because you claim not to have surgery, it automatically means that you're very laid back and accepting of the natural aging process. It's not like I can achieve Demi's look with light exercise and a couple trips to CVS a month when I'm in my mid 40's. So I don't really give a crap if she's getting surgery or not, she still must devote a great deal of resources to look like that. And if it's miraculously all genetics, most of us don't get that lucky anyway.
I don't know what it is, but he is heavenly to me. "Rebel Prince" is my ringtone, and I think I'm going to go into convulsions when I see him in concert come November.
