Is there any end to the "I don't really like her BUT..." or "I usually find her annoying BUT-" congratulatory comments?
    Come on!

I like it, although I wonder if there should be a trigger warning. I also like how jealousy is portrayed as a motive for the man, violence motivated out of "love" (ha) instead of hate.

Wow that is a great ad. Sad though.

Of course, the people who need to hear this message the most will be the ones who laugh at this sort of stuff.

man i don't know about anybody else, but i'm watching her just lying there getting kicked and thinking, grab his ankle! pull him down! smash your foot in his face!

i can't wait for that PSA... where the woman turns around and successfully defends herself by surprising the guy and kicking the shit out of him. maybe that's a PSA targeted to the abusing men... dude, think twice because you may not realize your wife/gf will kick your eyes out if you try this shit.

I read about this on CNN this morning and was wanting to see it. I think it's really well done and surprisingly realistic. The towel in the face was an especially nice touch.

I wonder what the chances are of seeing something that graphic/eye opening in the U.S. during commercials. I wish she or another high profile actress would do one of those for American TV.

This is uncomfortable to watch. As it should be. Too often in movies we're shown a couple fighting, smacking each other, then kissing and having sex. THIS ad shows what a violent relationship truly is.

Dammit, now I have no justification for not liking this women. Curses, Knightley! You win again!

@librariesare4lovers: I was just trying to remember the name of that. What a seriously intense film. I still see the balcony scene near the end and get cills. As far as films dealing with domestic violence, it's one of the best. At the top of my list, though, is a British film called Falling Apart with Mark Strong and Hermione Norris. Did you see that?

@librariesare4lovers: Yes! It's an absolutely outstanding film. Just the park when she's asked what her husband did and she says "He took everything".

See it Jezzies. It's by a female director too.

I really like this ad. I'm not that much of a fan of her acting in most of her films, but I love her for this. Reminds me of the Emma Thompson anti-sex trafficking ad.

This makes me happysad. Happy that it was made, but sad that it was necessary to make it. Joe Wright is amazing though, when Atonement opened he did a Q&A at the showing I saw and you could tell he loves what he does and cares about it a lot.

Bad that people need a PSA to tell them that beating the shit out of another person is wrong.
