Rooo's Response: "Stop Reading Your Magazine" #katehudsonelleuk

My boyfriend doesn't like sports. I am always telling him to eat because he barely does. I am always the one pushing for sex, and he is always the one trying almost too hard to be respectful. We talk about complex things and he hears everything I say. He doesn't hang out with "the guys" and I do not have a "tribe" of girls that I get facials with.
We are humans. Our biological functions are aspects of our selves but they do not define us.
This is so stupid. It's ridiculous. Brain has died. #katehudsonelleuk

I'm sending her a library card. #katehudsonelleuk

I especially dislike the constant "oh men, they're just stupid and like sex and food." As if that's actually true of every single man, somehow clever as an observation...or part of that weird "well, they can't help it" trope that is actually a real problem.
Every time I hear gender generalizations like this I think, maybe it's the types of people you hang out with. I don't know anyone, male or female, who fits into such narrow gender ideas. #katehudsonelleuk

In any case, I thought her heavy hand with the generalizations was kind of funny. I talk like the sometimes, and it's not always entirely serious. And, like it or not, stereotypes exist for a reason.
Not defending, I don't even especially care about Hudson. I just think taking an Elle interview with any kind of seriousness is silly.
The most offensive thing about this interview was the fact that she quoted Dr. Fucking Laura. #katehudsonelleuk

And, in the context of dating and romance, her stereotypes are, like all stereotypes, coming from a bit of truth. It may also explain why her relationships post-marriage have been brief, if the above is her entire worldview on the subject. #katehudsonelleuk

Boys are the males of all ages with whom you want to have fun, not someone who does the work or is friends with your dad. Boys clubs, for all the negative connotation with respect to women's advancement in the workplace, usually sound like fun -- boys clubs play golf, they drink, they eat steak. Boys have fun. Men do not. #katehudsonelleuk

@tinydundie42: I presume you're referring to that bloat-faced baseball player, and not the 2009 Wimbledon finalist gladiator to whom that nickname rightly belongs. #katehudsonelleuk

It almost seems like because they are beautiful, thin, rich, famous, etc....we just have to find a fault somewhere.
Is Kate really THAT annoying because she used the word "boys" to describe men? Or is the person who got annoyed just THAT pretentious?
I'm just saying.... #katehudsonelleuk

Celebrities, like it or not, have a public forum in interviews like this. What they say reflects on them. It has consequences. Just like our comments here do.
And yes, sometimes you get "haters" when something doesn't warrant it. But in this case, she's made a lot generalizations and I think that's relevant to this site. I mean, part of Jez is celebrity. I don't understand anyone being shocked when this sort of stuff comes up. #katehudsonelleuk

Also, I used to work for my local film society, and a couple years ago, we had an awards event. She came with Owen Wilson and was an ice queen to the entire staff and made Owen leave early. #katehudsonelleuk
