I remember them saying they wanted to have this show as a record of this time in their lives, but I wonder if either of them will be able to watch it. To watch and re-live your marriage crumbling sounds like hell.

She screams in public and belittles him.
He doesn't pull his weight and mocks her.
People blame Kate because she's louder and because we expect more from women. But as Knocked Up taught us, you don't have to yell to be mean.

It was not good. They used to live in my cousin's neighborhood, and she knew them before kids. Why the hell they even pursued in vitro to have what they thought was going to be just a third child is beyond anyone who knew them when they were just married or parents of twins. She was always waaaayyy more into Jesus than he was, and all the people at her church kept trying to "save" Jon. He's been the way he his their whole marriage. Why she expected him to be someone else, I'm not sure.

You guys can flame me for this if you want but women should avoid chewing out their husbands in public. It makes your husband a laughing stock and other men lose respect for him. I've seen women laugh at men being chewed out by their spouses.
Now when it's the man giving the verbal spanking, people feel empathy for the woman and sometimes a man will white knight in the woman's defense

@MissMoneypenny: Kate's no angel, but her bad behavior (yelling, bossing) is so much more obvious than his passive aggressive douchebaggery. It also REALLY bothers me how much she's raked over the coals while he gets off relatively scot-free. I hate him.
Plus, the cheating. I don't believe the allegations w/r/t her, though, who knows, they might be true. But given all the proof of Jon's cheating, I'm fairly sure he did.

The worst part is? You can see so, so easily how the cycle could be broken if one of them just said one kind, loving, respectful thing to the other.
But I guess happy families don't make ratings. Tragedy.
