Senator who champions conservative social values is backed by his family, which makes its money by profiting from large-scale gambling. The senator, who has tried to impeach a previous president for adultery with an unmarried aide, cheats on his own wife with someone in his employ, the wife of a friend also in his employ. He then tries to pay off the cuckolded husband with money from his casino family, with jobs, and with clients for the cuckolded husband's new job. The cuckolded husband's new job involves lobbying the very offices over which the cheating senator has influence.
Plus, the paid-off husband goes public when he feels like he's not getting enough cash to make up for his heartbreak.
I don't know why conservative politicians express such shock and outrage over liberal values - this is the plot to a torrid Hollywood film à la Body Heat.
These people just need to go away and privately tear each other to shreds instead of doing on the taxpayer's dollar.
I'd rather direct my outrage at the warmongers, health care saboteurs and their ilk.

Um, what? Seriously, I want to say something about how we are NOT a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles or any other religious principles, but I think the above quote broke my brain. So, yeah. No more intelligent, coherent thought from me for the time being. I like string.

"The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion…"
And many of the prominent founding fathers were atheists, agnostics, and critics of organized religion.

But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. :)

So he's Woody Harrelson, Ensign is Robert Redford, and Tom Coburn is Oliver Platt.

Between that and the story out of Philly where a country club turned away a group of African-American children, I'm just calling it a day.

God gave you a brain. In Deuteronomy, He even calls on you to "love the Lord you God with all your heart, soul, AND MIND." He expects you to use it, and if you makes mistakes (like, oh, I don't know, SLAVERY?), it's your bad.
And though I wrote this elsewhere, and thus am repeating myself, I think it bears repeating:
We cannot be both a Christian nation, and the United States of America.
Pick one.

Sheesh.

Plus, in King's case, that pound would be really, really bitter and probably not have any resale value. It would taste of the slow decline of white male privilege, hate and dill. Just because I hate dill.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!!!!
Quite possibly the funniest thing I've read or heard in months!!!

Ok, going back to read now!

And also: Ok. I'll try. It's just that the internet was really asking for it.
