The much-anticipated Joan Jett biopic The Runaways hits theaters today. What do critics have to say about the film? Well, we heard something about a lesbian kiss...

Stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were at the New York premiere of The Runaways last night, but the girls (and some guys) behind the barricades outside the theater were yelling "JOAN! JOAN! JOAN!" God bless Joan Jett.
The Runaways L.A. premiere was fine and all. But the New York iteration last night the hipster-approved Landmark Sunshine Cinema, was black magic. It brought out not just the film's heroines but DEBBIE HARRY! To say nothing of Chloe Sevigny.
We shouldn't expect gloss or polish from The Runaways when the movie hits theaters on Friday. As Sia Michel puts it in the NY Times, the flick is "properly scuzzy."

Just what we need: An antidote to dumbed-down rom-coms and dick flicks. The Runaways is "one of the most piquantly feminist films to touch down this year," Chris Lee writes for the LA Times. He also calls it:
