The much-anticipated Joan Jett biopic The Runaways hits theaters today. What do critics have to say about the film? Well, we heard something about a lesbian kiss...

Stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were at the New York premiere of The Runaways last night, but the girls (and some guys) behind the barricades outside the theater were yelling "JOAN! JOAN! JOAN!" God bless Joan Jett.

The Runaways L.A. premiere was fine and all. But the New York iteration last night the hipster-approved Landmark Sunshine Cinema, was black magic. It brought out not just the film's heroines but DEBBIE HARRY! To say nothing of Chloe Sevigny.

• Uh-oh. Sandra Bullock has left the family home.

• Miley Cyrus is excited she'll be free of Hannah Montana (and Disney) after filming this season. Says Miley: "I hate being thought of as a product. I am not a doll, and people want to treat me that way..."

We shouldn't expect gloss or polish from The Runaways when the movie hits theaters on Friday. As Sia Michel puts it in the NY Times, the flick is "properly scuzzy."

And by "it," we refer of course to badassery. (When it came to the actual red-carpet looks at L.A.'s ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome, Kristen, Dakota et al may have, sort of, technically, kind of looked a lot better.)
