    I don't get the Jenna Bush hate. Sure, she's getting this job because of who her dad is but that's true of a lot of people and she'll fail or succeed on her own merits. I'm sure she's had a lot of opportunities in life, but she's also chosen to be a public school teacher and wrote a book about young women with AIDS. She's not Paris Hilton, Jenna seems to try to use her influence to do good.

    @alexherrera: She's actually a teacher at a charter school in Baltimore. I don't know if she's giving up teaching to try and be some kind of commentator on education, but I wouldn't say she lacks a work ethic at all. She's been teaching public school for several years now.

    Nah, they were talking about Bush the Elder, who was a one-termer. They talk about returning at 18 later (for the next 8 years), but there childhood memories seem to be about their grandpa's presidency.

    And finally, although it's an honor and full of so many extraordinary opportunities, it isn't always easy being a member of the club you are about to join. Our dad, like yours, is a man of great integrity and love; a man who always put us first. We still see him now as we did when we were seven: as our loving daddy. Our Dad, who read to us nightly, taught us how to score tedious baseball games. He is our father, not the sketch in a paper or part of a skit on TV. Many people will think they know him, but they have no idea how he felt the day you were born, the pride he felt on your first day of school, or how much you both love being his daughters. So here is our most important piece of advice: remember who your dad really is.


    This seems to be more of a note to the media, but it's still a nice thought nonetheless.

    @EdnasEdibles: Apparently, Susan Eisenhower did just that several years ago. The only recent First Kid who hasn't corresponded with her is Amy Carter, who is painfully shy and just wants to stay the hell away from any of that.

As the Bush sisters know firsthand, the media loves to report on the horrifying possibility that presidential children are having fun somewhere & the cops love to charge you with bs like "being a minor in possession of alcohol".
