Busy is such a funny name. I giggle every time I hear it.

No, no, no. It's not about the proportions at all.

What's wrong with Busy Phillips' outfit is that she is not wearing a baby blue puffy vinyl jacket. And Daniel Desario on her arm.

First off, I can't get on the bandwagon for Elizabeth Banks. The fit leaves that gorgeous dress looking downright dowdy on her, and the hair is not much better. She's screaming stepford right now, y'all. Also, Busy is gorgeous no matter what she wears, but the high waistline vs. her generous bosom isn't creating the best impression.

i understand that diablo was trying to pop color with the dress - which i like, quite a bit - but maybe a necklace would have been a better choice. her hair, however, is fantastic. if i could pull off a gamine do, i would, but alas, i do not have the neck for it.

    i want jeanne tripplehorn's shoes.

jenna needed a silver sandal with that dress, not a black sandal.

It looks to me like Jeanne Tripplehorn is trying to grow her hair out, and is in that weird layer phase where everything hangs awkwardly.

I say this only because I am also in said weird layer phase.

Jane Fleming and Jeanne Tripplehorn are wearing essentially the same thing, and I don't love it on either of them. I mean, it's all right, I guess, but it's obscurey and kind of drab.

I say this as someone who has not worn anything other than knit black jersey dresses for two months straight.

Diablo Cody's dress is frumpy. Fits like a sack.

But I think Kylie Sanchez looks adorable.

@royaume de coeur: I agree on both counts. More specifically, Diablo's dress is a cut I hate: it has boob sacks. No matter what size/shape chest you have, I always think those things are unflattering.

But Kylie looks laid-back, classy and very cute.

Despite the fact they look uncomfortable on her feet, I truly covet Diablo Cody's shoes.

Busy Philips' outfit is a little unfortunately look at my boobs, I think. And not in a sexySEXsexsexsexy way, either.

@Ailatan: thank you! when you've got big boobies I think it's better to just flaunt it than hide behind high neck lines and lose layers; instead of making the boobs look smaller it just makes everything else look bigger.

Nearly all these women look refreshingly pretty. As in not overwhelming. Refreshing in the sense that they wouldn't be out of place at the grocery store, anyone's high school yearbook. I hope that sounds like I mean it to.

Anyway, it feels kind of good to see women who've been able to make Hollywood careers from their talents, not just their faces.

No mention of Diablo Cody's shoes? They are divine, no?

I want to be surrounded by the color of Elizabeth Banks' dress. It's so soothing...perhaps it resembles the inside of a womb.

@Ailatan: No I know what you mean, it's a bit of an 'older' haircut if that makes sense? She looks very serious here, and her old hair made her look a lot more fun.
