    GodDAMN it. I wanted to buy that shirt and wear it to my family reunion. Some of my fam are uber-conservative, mega church-going, Orange countyites.


    Hopefully the Repeal 8 campaign will jump on this hole in the market and start making their own shirts. I'd much rather give them (more of) my money than stupid Urban.

    As a person who doesn't wear anything but plain black, these tees with sayings on them bug me. I understand that they are trying to get a message across to a wide audience, but they seem to trivialize serious political issues that affect people on a very deep level.

    The people who own the Urban Outfitters company are ultra-conservative. Which seems weird, but is true and explains the prop 8 shirt being pulled. I dunno about all the other dumb shirts though.

    There's a list someplace of stores and companies that are really really conservative. i'm sure you could google it. One of my hippie professors in college handed it out and told us not to shop at those places anymore.

    I listened to my boss rant yesterday about how empty the New York stores were. He mentioned Lacoste ("the one on Madison Avenue" for extra snob points) and Faconnable and it was all I could do to stop myself from saying "Hey, take some of that and give me a damned raise!"

    That woman on the Mariah Carey video is one of the most annoying human beings I've ever seen in my life. Mariah looks incredibly normal next to her. The shameless shilling of the perfume, combined with the surprise that a man could design a dress for a woman.

    I was glad I wasn't standing next to her, after she squirted the perfume all over herself - the smell in that room must have been nauseating. Mariah, wearing a garment that didn't have exposed breastage confused me, and the fact that neither of them could utter a complete sentence in their native tongue proved to be my undoing. I could not watch the whole thing.
