    Hm, does Liz Hurley know red wine has loads of antiaging antioxidants that are very good for your heart and arteries? I think wodka (and other hard liquor) has far more bloating properties.
    And frankly, I enjoy a glass of cab too much to care about a bit of bloat around the stomach area. Life is more fun this way. #lindsaylohandad

    @Ms Meghan: It is a highly uneven show, but there have been some amazing episodes. The later half of season one is full of dark and delightfully twisted moments, particularly the unaired "Epitaph One".

    At its core, it is a show about free will, what we can do vs. what we should do, corporate greed, human exploitation, and other gray shades of morality. However, it comes off as "what male sexual fantasy is Eliza Dushku going to fulfill this week" which I don't blame you for not finding appealing.

    @Ms Meghan: Wow, try watching the show before you make a dumb generalization without anything to back it up with. It was actually HIGHLY against prostitution. The show was uneven, I'll give you that, but that had nothing to do with it essentially being about human trafficking. It's easy to criticize the show for being a 'what can Dusku dress up as next' but that was hardly the case. The times we actually see her with men, its displayed as perverse, creepy and generally unsettling. The most recent episode that aired addressed a doll who was placed into the dollhouse against her will by a man trying to control her. It was sad, highly fucked up and anything but glamorized. #lindsaylohandad

    1. I am a big fan of a lot of the work Joss Whedon does.

    2. I find nothing appealing about watching something like Dollhouse, I don't watch Law and Order SVU for the same reason. I have issues watching the sexual exploitation of women, even if it's not real.

    Can you imagine having your parents fight over you, publicly, in that manner when you're what, 23 years old?

    They are really the worst stage parents of all time. They won't ever let her go. They'll let her basically destroy her career, and perhaps even herself, but they won't take themselves out of the picture, as long as they can get a bit of fame out of it.

    Neither of them seem to realize that perhaps they're the reason Lindsay is such a mess. #lindsaylohandad

    Jane Lynch’s story reminds me of a time I found myself in a similar embarrassing situation with regard to blind people and their need for spoken commentaries for films. As part of my work, I was once at a House of Lords reception, where I came across a woman who provided Dvds with just such detailed commentaries to enable blind people to follow what was going on. I was very impressed that she had managed to persuade the film star Ewan McGregor to promote the service in her publicity material and even had a picture of him with his arms around her. After general chit-chat, we ended up talking about him in a very circuitous way. Not being very quick on the uptake that day, I failed to realise that she might be related to Ewan as her surname was also McGregor. "I’m his mother." She explained eventually. Thank-God I had only said nice things about her son! #lindsaylohandad

    @Rare Affinity: My blind person/I'm an asshole story is pretty bad. I get off the bus and I'm waiting at the crosswalk waiting to cross when this guy in his 70s with glasses and a seeing eye cane comes up and where this street is. I go up to the curb and peer up and down the street and say "You know, I have no idea. I can't see anything. Sorry about that." The light turns green and I cross. It took me several blocks to realize what the hell happened back there. I was 16 years old at time and I still am mortified by my ridiculously selfish behavior. #lindsaylohandad

    @echoparkgal: Having worked alongside blind and visually impaired people, the old man probably didn’t take offence. I often heard completely blind people use figures of speech containing the verb to see, as in "I can see what you’re driving at." Disabled people are often not as precious about language as the able bodied can sometimes be on their behalf. #lindsaylohandad

    Maybe Whedon can now go make something decent. I love almost everything that man creates, and have watched any show that his actors show up in. But I couldn't get through Dollhouse. Dushku is okay in minor roles but that woman does not have the acting ability to play a range of characters. #lindsaylohandad
