    If the MadMen line is selling at Brooks Brothers expect it to be crazy expensive. I've been in BB from time to time when looking for a simple black skirt/pants and that shit is bananas expensive. #jeanpaulgaultierfortarget

    @bluebears: I saw an ad for the Mad Men/Brooks Brothers suits, and I think they were around $900/$1000. I'm not sure how much Brooks Brothers normally charges, and that's definitely way more than I'd ever pay, but I don't think it's as crazy expensive as, say, an Armani suit. #jeanpaulgaultierfortarget

    @ytuhermanotambien: yeah I don't know about mens suit prices but the womens clothes at BB are just beyond expensive. They're basically more conservative version of the stuff at Banana or Ann Taylor but they are like 3 times the price.

    Those Tom Ford quotes are priceless. I particularly enjoyed the quip about the bonzai trees taking a trip to the countryside each month for their necessary sun exposure.     I hardly ever comment, but I was really happy to see (both in the report and mentioned here) the bit about female conductors, because it's an issue that's near and dear to me. In that I am a conductor, and a woman - and probably won't continue with it after college. But there's a big piece of me that desperately wishes I were more dedicated to the craft, because it's a glass ceiling that could use some serious smashing. To every single one of the (far too few) woman conductors/music directors out there - thank you for the work that you do.

    Speaking of smashing, and by that I mean getting smashed - Rachel Maddow, thank you for validating my primary non-musical hobby.

    @lalie (apologetic mess): more women behind the scenes in every aspect will help - especially when it comes to writing, producing, directing, and funding. as long as women in the audience are ignored, the sexism in the media will exist.

    Marin Alsop took the music director position at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in 2007, a huge inroad for women. Unfortunately, it was a tempestuous appointment as it was done against the desire of the musicians (not because she was a woman).
