@rose.of.many.thorns.colette: Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! At the Obama rally I went to, Bobby Scott, Glenn Nye, and Tim Kaine all spoke, and when they talked about Mark Warner the crowd went WIIIILD OMG WARNER.
Also, James Carville reminds me of the bad guy in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. You know, the guy who does the high-pitched "I'm melting - meeeeeelting" at the end?
Is anyone else getting horrible flashbacks to 2004 and especially 2000?! When I see all the talking heads going on about "if so and so takes such and such state" etc. I want to scream BUT YOU PROMISED ME THAT THE LAST TWO TIMES TWO AND YOU TOLD ME GORE AND WON AND THEN BUSH BECAME POTUS AND GOD!
@tonightineed: *breathes* And I'm not even American! I even wrote two instead of too. I don't know what's going on. I cannot deal. Why am I still up. I should just go to bed and hope for the best, only the last few times that didn't really work out, you know?
Well my happy election night plans just went awry - turns out I'm too ill to party. And it's nearly 1am here. I'm also too ill to take my clothes off and drink, so can I just slowly sip rehydration salts and reheat some chicken soup?
@bowleserised: Seriously, if I was anywhere near Berlin I'd hop right on over. Unfortunately a lovely town on North Sea called The Hague is a tad too far.
@haguenite: The clue's in the name, isn't it? You have inspired me to make some onion soup asap though - that can never be a bad thing.
@tonightineed: aw, thanks! I have my friend's patent chicken soup - it involves four heads of garlic, chili and a piece of ginger the size of a baby's hand. I think it's going to help.
Ok, friends! I finished Jury Duty today and I voted! I'm so full of civic duty I'm pooping little bits of liberty! I have champagne and am ready to both sip AND strip!
Ergh, with that drinking game for my liver's sake I hope this race is called around 10. Weird, giddy calm just kicked in. Then again it might be the wine.
Still, this is my 8th presidential election voting Demo so I feel pissed off, cheated and damn well ready for change!
@Rose.Selavy.Needs.A.Drink:I've been having that weird giddy calm all day! It's quite an upgrade from yesterday, when I woke up feeling like an elephant was sitting on my chest.

And I'm looking forward to hearing Bobby Scott win again, even though, obv. he's running unopposed.

Just pulled the Lever of Hope down in Bay Ridge, Bklyn. Anybody else cry a little? I've been voting for 11 years. First time I've cried in the booth.
