    You can tell that all of the up and coming actresses styled themselves. It's like they are in high school and Rumer is in Grad school.
    I like to imagine what I would wear to a premier if I was a poor actress trying to make a break and couldn't get anyone to GIVE me clothes.

    Maybe my brain is just fuzzy this morning, but I have no idea how (#6) "Margo Harshman's girdle swings a little Godfather II".

    Does this refer to the late 50's? New York in the 20's? The woodwork at the Tahoe enclave? Las Vegas? Havana? The complexity of a ruthless mob family? Prison?!

    Carrie, I say this as one plump, pleasant-faced, middle-aged smart-ass to another: all your go-to dark, solid, tight, shiny ensembles that show no skin are not becoming. Nor is the too-severe makeup and hair color. The effect is forbidding and all but screams: "I'm a former mental patient." Spend a week with Stacy & Clinton. You're a beloved icon and one of the great brains of your business. Dress yourself with the love, respect, and confidence you deserve.

    @Joy_Rebar: She's kind of proud of her former-mental-patient status, so perhaps it's a look she's deliberately cultivating. I saw her one-woman show recently, and she invited everyone in the audience who had ever been similarly committed to come up to the stage and receive a free gift bag. As far as I'm concerned she can wear whatever the hell she wants without losing an iota of fabulousness.

    Demi's dress looks good because it is fussy and lumpy in the right places. The rosette and patent belt make the dress eye-catching but the monochrome black keeps it from looking flashy and gaudy.
