Thank you, Jeremy Paxman! This drives me batshit. Sting is a raging hypocrite.

I don't wanna hear that MEN are more likely to cheat. I don't want to hear you are surprised a seemingly upstanding guy would cheat. Men cheat, Women cheat. Humans cheat. It's been going on for thousand of years. No amount of money, influence, prestige, or other factor will make it stop.
It happens.
The quicker society begins to realize that the better we can address it.

"Because it's dull you twit! It will hurt more!"
LOVE. IT. It was the first movie I had memorized top to bottom. I was a weird kid. . .

And for Mardi Gras that year, I dressed up as Maid Marion. Still the best costume I have ever worn.

wtf.
apparently, if you're a professional athlete, it's part of your job to whore it up early and often and the concept of 'self control' just doesn't apply to you unless it involves following a strict diet and working out at the gym. i guess the old adage "let boys be boys" is working like gangbusters for men in society, and if you fall in love and marry a professional athlete, you should expect him to come home with a fat paycheck, a mistress, and possibly an std.
gross. that's all i can say! gross.

these guys have women throwing themselves at them and they are essentially told that they have some god-given right to be unfaithful.

Marriage is not a band aid. It won't miraculously cover up whatever issues you were dealing with before. I think a lot of people enter marriages with the belief that once the wedding is over old things are passed away and while that is hopeful and optimistic, how realistic is it?

Are they so desperate for fame and excitement that they boast of sleeping with a married man?
It always leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. They shouldn't be vilified for an affair (the man should take responsibility if he was the one cheating), but they shouldn't be proud or making money off it either...

I mean, I am trying to put myself in the place of having an affair with a married famous man. I assume some of my friends would know but otherwise the guilt would keep me quiet.
I mean, what is this about? Fame? One-uping his wife? Punishing him? Any-which-way, it's lame. And this is NOT condoning Woods or his behavior, in the least. Having cheated myself, that voicemail he left gave me a knot in my stomach. As my mom says, lies have no history. And piling lies on top of lies will fuck anyone in the end.
(I say this as I am skipping work for the second time this week and not telling my BF...but I'm just an asshole)

And 31 months? And she runs to the tabs? Damn, that's low. After that much time together, either she was just in it for the money or that was a really bitter break up.

@Ginmar Rienne: 31 months probably seems a long enough commitment to her that she should reap some kind of 'reward' whether that be fame or tabloid money. I can't imagine doing that, but then again I've never knowingly slept with a married man or cheated on someone.
I just get annoyed when 'the other woman' in these things tries to portray herself as totally innocent. She may not be the same league as the man, but she's isn't innocent in all this.

I've had a married guy or two try and pull some sleazy moves, but once I found out---and in one case, I REALLY had to jump on the guy, hard---but after 31 months she knew.
I think the 'other women' in these cases are kind of nervous about being kept and are trying to dodge that particular bullet, right or wrong. These don't sound like anything but sleazy relationships to me.
