• Helena Bonham Carter says of her relationship with Tim Burton:

• Miodrag Mejdina, the driver who accused Naomi Campbell of hitting him on Tuesday, apologized to her in a statement today and said he only reported the incident because he, "got angry and overreacted."

• Naomi Campbell's driver says she hit him from behind and his head struck the steering wheel while they were on the road in Manhattan. When he pulled over, Naomi bolted from the SUV and police are still looking for her.

Why is it that the "8th Annual Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards," at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City, California, has such an ominous ring to it? Shouldn't "visual" be good? No. Apparently, it just means "visible."

• Jay-Z claimed on the Friday Night With Jonathan Ross that he's responsible for some of Beyonce's famous moves: "She's a magnificent performer. I steal routines from her. She steals from me. The 'uh-oh' dance - that was me." [DailyMail]

It's clear from this Charlie Rose interview that James Cameron has been coached on not seeming like a jackass — emphasizing how much his team deserves Best Picture, suggesting Best Director for Kathryn Bigelow. Well, it sort of worked... [DHD]

• In the March issue of W Megan Fox declares, "There are some women you could put in underwear and photograph them, and it looks really classy and it doesn't necessarily provoke a pinup image. But with me, it does, immediately..."

The 60th annual ACE Eddie Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel hit on Valentine's day, which maybe explains why Gabourey Sidibe and friends were all in loved-up shades?

Hamilton's kindest words for Cameron: "He used to say to me: 'Anybody can be a father or a husband. There are only five people in the world who can do what I do, and I'm going for that.'" [Daily Mail]

• Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly broken up with Casey Aldridge, the father of her child, and is now dating 28-year-old James Watson, who doesn't care "at all about who she is. They really seem to like each other." [NYDN]

Not so fast, Avatar.

"If you've ever heard that old second-wave saw about how women have to be twice as good and work twice as hard as men to get the same or fewer rewards... re-watch the last half-hour of the Golden Globes." [Feministe]

We were as disappointed as anyone at The Hurt Locker's Golden Globes shut-out Sunday; as for Avatar, I wish I'd watched it on mute. But the predictable meta-analysis of directors Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron's long-ago marriage is already egregious.

There were moments at the Golden Globes that were too complex to convey in stills (like Bill Paxton reportedly joking that Michael C. Hall played "the cancer card"), so we've made gifs of memories to keep in rotating animation.
