Yippee, another media portrayal of a sexually-adventurous woman as a psychopathic sorceress. We sure haven't seen enough of those. Remember, girls, if you enjoy fucking, you're mentally unstable, will drag hapless men to their doom, and other women (even, perhaps especially, your close friends) will righteously despise you. Use your cunt, be a cunt! Sane, productive women regard sex as an unpleasant twelfth-date duty, am I right?
Blarrgh. So disappointed. It WAS nice to see the Night Court crowd again, but I missed Bull.
I have a friend who angrily yells at me every time I mention this, but I really didn't like "Friends" and I SO don't get the Aniston phenomenon. Clearly this stunt casting was not aimed at me (and am I seriously the only human being that didn't love the shit out of Friends??? There's got to be someone else out there!) but I'm annoyed that Aniston showed up on my favorite show. At least Night Court balances it out, and next week Steve Martin will hold and comfort me, so it's cool.
@FrancescaFiore: You can add me to the "I don't give a shit about 'Friends'" club as well. I just didn't see the appeal of any of the actors on the show, nor did I care for the humor. People have been insistent that I just "don't get it."
I beg to differ. I get it. Which is precisely why I don't like it.
@thatsnotfab: I saw one episode of "Friends" where the long haired hippie girl sang a song about a smelly cat.....my friend had recorded it on her VCR because she thought it was so funny.....and I didn't get it.
wasn't there supposed to be a scene where liz had the aniston cut and they all looked like they came out of a friends episode? where did that scene go?
My favorite part was when Jenna and Liz are animatedly discussing all of Claire's crazy exploits, and then Liz's energy just drops and she says, "I know, she's exhausting."
I am over ten years younger than her, but I totally felt that. I am exhausted by crazy hijinks.
Crazy putty??? Did anyone else catch what this meant? Liz wrote it down on the back of a magazine, and Jack read it as "crazy putty". I must be dense, but this one went right over my head.
Honestly, the major guest stars on this episode for me were the Night Court alums. I understand Kenneth's fantasy of a Night Court reunion more than I'd like to admit.
@Flackette is a Red State Elitist: Yeah, they kind of threw away the awesomeness of the night court idea, by adding the aniston storyline. The night court reunion was big enough to have been a main plot on it's own.
I'm disappointed that, not being a watcher of TV, I was coerced into renting 30 Rock Season 1 and 2 on Netflix and, found myself to thoroughly enjoy it enough to consider
watching this new season on TV......so far, Season 3 is really falling short of previous experience and expectations.
That said, I didn't think Jen was neither great nor horrible - most acting on that show is "forced" and overboard on the histrionics. Jen WAS playing a "crazy puddy" afterall. But now the "Jen Haters" have something to use as a weapon for their hate spewing....
I struck the "Night Court" set when it went off the air back in the day. We found a five gallon plastic container in the makeup room on the stage full of sliced jalapenos that was so old that when we opened it, had anyone been smoking nearby, they possibly would have been immolated. True Hollywood story.
@badmutha: The truly interesting part is no one knows why it was there? Did Harry Anderson have a jalapeno jones? Since we found them in makeup, were they a Hollywood secret that contributed to Markie Post's irrepressible perkiness? Or perhaps Richard Moll used them to move the mail? I think they need to do an "E! Hollywood Story" on 'em.
I need some serious therapy for my obsession with Kenneth. Shock treatment or something/ I make those little twirp's obsessions with the Jonas Brothers and EdwatdtheMormonVampire seem like popcorn.
HitOrMs will never get a gold star because she doesn't hate on sex workers was starred
HitOrMs will never get a gold star because she doesn't hate on sex workers was unstarred
The shot of Liz and Jack walking out of the court made it for me... I love their dynamic so much, and love even more that they keep reminding us that these two will NEVER get it on. If that ever happens, you will know for certain the show has jumped the shark
