Jinger DID TOTALLY GIVE THE 'BISH PLEAZE'LOOK!!! To her creepy brother and sister-in-law, who were totes sitting together, all touching, lap-to-groin- eww. Their practically doin' it. (at least in homeschool mindset).
Did you notice he made his wife--who was in labor-- wait while he had his Grand-Slam-Pre-Birth Breakfast? Michelle even had another woman on deck to cook it!
Oh no wait- also awesome moment? Was when JimBob speaks seriously about how music can control you and so he carefully monitors how much the children are exposed to any music.
@SisterMaryMartha: Yeah, music totally controlled me to the extent that I hold 3 degrees from a major university in it and now use it toearn my paycheck.
That shit is dangerous, folks. Don't let music sneak up on your children!
@Gretchen: My parents sent me to a private Christian school- wherein I had to sign a contract- on threat of expulsion- that I would not listen to "secular music" and that I wouldn't dance, unless it was "for the Lord."
Sorry, I love this family. They seem genuine and I don't think we should be so afraid of religious people. It's only scary when they force us to be religious, too...otherwise, they are raising really well-behaved smart kids.
And I really don't care how many kids they want to have, as long as they can afford them without state help...it's really none of our business what this woman decides to do with her body. These kids are NOT being neglected...
We stand up for when women who are told when and where to have children, why is this any different?
@JinxyMcDeath: Well Jinxy, what really disturbs me are some of the religious constraints. I was raised in a fairly extreme home- and knew others that were even more so. I just don't believe that kind of restriction is the best.
@JinxyMcDeath: You know, they can do whatever they want, as long as their religious convictions do not have negative impacts on the rest of the population. Michelle Duggar can have babies until her uterus falls out, if she wants to. It is her body. BUT the kind of extreme anti-birth control stance these people take concerns me in terms of public health issues.
@JinxyMcDeath: Their family is partially funded by handouts. He has declared their home a "church," so they are tax-exempt. My tax dollars are supporting their blatant, unfettered baby making hobby, so I do consider this a handout.
@wankster: That is way creepy. There's also something vaguely weirdly creepy about the way he's holding his wife. Why are they there? Why do they think that "name picking ceremony for mom's 18th child" is a good time to cuddle?
Did you see how after the engaged kids said they "hadn't chosen their letter yet", how the sister closest to them just rolled her eyes? Too too funny. I wonder which one that is. Rebel!
