    The McCain/Palin camp brought this teen down from Alaska for photo-ops and to further their own agenda. They used him. Now he is trying to turn this exposure to his own advantage but there are others out there willing to use him also. When I see some Mary Hart type earnestly asking him some question like they care about his answer it makes me think they're really just making fun of him but then he is making money from this so maybe he will have the last laugh. #fleshbotawards

    Levi is no less a whore than Sarah Palin, and I mean that in the sense of what he is willing to sell of himself for fame and money. There is nothing attractive about him to me, as there is nothing admirable to me about Sarah Palin.

    I would admire Levi more if he kept a low profile and helped raise his son, and Sarah Palin if she used her position to bring attention and raise money for special-needs children, as she so often touted.

    They both seriously disgust me and are a blight on our society.

    I feel bad for young Levi. Like many of my male high school students he just wanted to see/touch some boobs it all went and hit the fan... So many guys his age have done the same thing but not with a vice presidential candidate's daughter so nobody knows or cares. It sucks that he's too naive (or stupid?) to see that it's only a matter of time before he's sitting somewhere in a bar next to Kevin Federline asking "How did I get here?" #fleshbotawards

    Yeah, he's kinda dirty sexy. Like the hot football player that says things like "'Merica" and you just sigh listfully pat him on the head and hope he asks you to prom. Because he's the only boy in that cow town, strong and silent and dim and sweet; he just catches that football and smiles when he's supposed to, and all you can do is smile back because his simple happiness is something you'll never understand but always wonder about once you move to the city. Lonely cold nights will be warmed by thoughts of Levi, his warm flannel shirt and the sticky leather of his backseat. And years from now, when you drive through that lonely highway, past the high school field where you first laid eyes on him, past the bleachers where you cheered him on, maybe you'll see him working on an old busted Chevy with his son, little Jed, and you'll smile knowing he still smells like Old Spice and sawdust.

    Also, I hear he's packing some serious heat in those pants, so there's that. #fleshbotawards

    @Gumbina80: I think there's something really weird about the way this whole thing has sort of devolved into a Sarah vs. Levi thing where Bristol and the baby are almost non-entities. And I realize that's probably her (or her mom's choice), and she has a right to keep her live private if she wants. But if I were to do some sort of Jungian narrative analysis, it would be easy to see this as a weird re-tread of the archetypal conflict between a young man and a father regarding the younger man's affections for the daughter. And you have Sarah Palin stepping into what is archetypically a male (patriarchal) role. I guess that's the uncomfortable part for me as a feminist. It's discomfiting to see a woman step into that patriarchal role, because it's a illusionary form of power that masquerades as an advancement. #fleshbotawards

    But he's not taking control of his image. And he's not brave because this is just a different group of people painting a picture of him.

    I feel terrible for Bristol. Imagine being a 17 year old girl, put aside the whole baby/marriage thing, put aside the whole he's famous for talking shit about her mom thing even, and your boyfriend becomes a huge porn star.     @judgingamy: I feel bad for both of them. They were both kids without a whole lot of life experience, living in a fairly small and isolated place, who got dumped into a shitstorm they had no way of knowing how to navigate at absolutely the worst moment ever. And I'm not sure doing a playgirl spread is becoming a "huge porn star". Also they are no longer together, and who he chooses to get naked in front of is not really her business (or anyone else's) #fleshbotawards

    @colormeroutine: Agreed. If anyone is at fault, it's Sarah Palin and the GOP machinery that thrust Bristol and Levi into the spotlight to begin with. She/they manipulated their images to paint the perfect picture of Middle-American, conservative values. They were kids, and they were paraded around like show dogs to perpertuate a fictictious image. That he has come out of that situation and remained sane is impressive. That he has seemingly taken every opportunity to piss of Sarah is only a bonus. #fleshbotawards

    @smizmar: My not-yet-in-existence kids might one day be affected by the drunken pictures of me on my facebook. Or by any millions of other decisions.     It looks like he made a choice - be famous, be a 'personality'. He must see it as his only great option, apart from his old life in Alaska, which he seems to pine for. It's like, 'Make money for my family/future off this brief popularity, or live my old life in Alaska that's sort of going nowhere?' He's like those cliches - like that dude from Glee with a pregnant girlfriend. He's trapped in his choice and trying to be brave about it, which is hard, since he's young and there are vultures everywhere. He sees Jon Gosselin and Speidi and Michael Lohan and Kfed and probably realizes that he is not like those people, he doesn't want to turn into those people. He wants to be a person of value, but what can he offer except his looks? I feel for him and his situation. I wish he had people to get him straight and talk him into educating himself and not into posing for Playgirl.
