I don't think the choice is "either" he declined because she was fat or he declined in good faith. Personally I think, other than scheduling, he may simply not have wanted to be associated with the film, and I do think that has something to do with his "aesthetic," and yeah, it's hard to ignore that if he did view her as "Vogue-compatible" or whatever, he would be working against type. But he doesn't want to work against type.

That's what bugs me here. That Vogue is so goddamned proud of themselves for their rich, conventional pretty aesthetic and "brand." That they don't really care about expanding it. #gaboureysidibe

@PilgrimSoul: Oh, and don't tell me it's because Vogue doesn't want to associate itself with a crappy film. Vogue associates itself with crappy films all the damn time. #gaboureysidibe

@bess marvin, girl detective: Yeah, I know what it could mean, but we don't really know all the details here to start sharpening stakes.

I mean, she's the star of the film, and presumably most scenes have her in it, so any clip would be "of" her. It doesn't mean she, or her appearance, is the reason for his choice.

@amoureuse is a second class citizen: whatever styling fiasco she would have to endure would probably be worth it for her to be in vogue, both for her and the magazine. #gaboureysidibe

@linnyt is a walking cliché: It doesn't sound like she would have actually been in the magazine, but rather that he would have been in the movie - the photoshoot was supposed to be part of a daydream or something. #gaboureysidibe
