If the governor of Alaska were a male, I don't think he would be ridiculed as unfit for vice-presidency. It's very disappointing to see so-called feminists engage in such a character assassination. Okay, she hunts and she's pro-life, do you really think this will change anything to your life if she gets elected? That's her preference but she won't dictate it. She wouldn't be able to any way, because there is both a Congress and a Senate.

I hope I would hear less frivolous arguments than "I'm tired of the Reds and their arrogance, so I'll vote for Obama", but that's really all I've heard. If that's your motivation then it's a pretty stupid one you'll have to live with for 4 years. There's nothing at all in Obama's CV. You could just as well vote for your neighbor. Don't you think it's funny that foreigners who would like to see an end to the US pre-eminence all want him to be elected?

Honestly guys, have none of you ever been prank called? Even those sound boards of Jack Black are pretty convincing. I'll never be able to understand the influence pop culture has in today's politics. How in the hell could a clip of SNL or a Canadian talk show have any influence in choosing the state of our country for the next four years. I could really give a shit less if our leader is charming, handsome, and well-dressed. As for those of you who think those are really important deciding factors for our next leader, you really need join the real world and the rest of us who live in it.

This is the problem with an always-on, always-aware, every-single-person-working-in-the-industry-has-a-blog media world: you have to put up with more shit than usual. The fact that real, serious politicians have to denigrate themselves by appearing on 3rd rate has-been comedy shows like SNL and not get publically pissed off when some radio station pulls a prank call officially means the end of private life for anyone seeking public life.

Two details from my French (read: "stuck with this shameful fake of a President for another four years â please, people, don't make the mistake half of France has done!") point of view: Sarkozy's voice is a rather distinctive forced-down baritone, nowhere near the comedian's; and I believe there isn't in the whole wide world a Frenchman who could speak English this fluently and still retain that degree of fake-French-con-exagerated-Quebec accent! She might love and admire him and his wife, but she sure has never heard him speak!

i am not a fan of Sarah Palin, i think she is crazy un-qualified for VP, but this makes me feel sad and so embarrassed for her. i realize that people are going to share their opinions of her in many different ways, but i just wish each side could have a little more respect for each other during this election. especially the lady who refused the "obama" trick-or-treaters!

OK-- I just checked in with the mainstream news outlets to see how people are reporting on this and no one is! Out of desperation, I checked in with Fox News and they're reporting it-- with a positive spin about Palin's great sense of humor. Why isn't this major news? This really speaks to her ignorance and lack of qualifications for the VP post. And her giggly bullshit betrays a lack of professionalism and decorum. The whole country should be recoiling from this!
