WHOA this is too weird! One of the dorms at my school is hosting a "sex week," and since our mascot is the Camel, the picture for the event page on facebook is THIS EXACT ONE!!! I was JUST looking at it before I came here....too weird.....

For many years my extended family rented a house in Rhode Island near the beach for the summer. The beach nearest to the house was a nude beach so we generally made the trek to the other, more tame beaches. Then one day my cousins and I decided to wander into the nearby nature conservancy with our very young cousin Claire. The four of us were greeted with a very graphic showing of turtle sex. I'm pretty sure that my little cousin was permanently scarred. I'm also pretty sure that taking into account the nude beach, that little hamlet is the world's secret sex den. Naked old people and violent, humping turtles. That's what I got when I saw this picture.

@skellywelly: Maybe? The beach was, probably ironically, called Moonstone Beach. I should also add that one day, upon returning from the beach drive, a coyote pack ran through our driveway. Oh and the house was a mess, you had to walk up to get to the other side of one room. It's too bad Lewis Carroll didn't live long enough to spend a summer there. He'd have a lot to write about.

@ekaterinaballerina: I grew up down the street from Moon Stone Beach!!! They closed the nudist part, I believe, as a sanctuary for the piping plover.

@TempleDrake: Really?!? I am so jealous of you! I might rag on it a bit but those were some of the best summers of my life. You know the salt lake, at one of the nearby beaches? Yeah, my cousin and I totally swam across it one day and then had to hike back in the scorching sun.
